Smooth driving

Smooth riding, comfortable, and getting used to the less than good visibility for cars to the left and right. Thankful for the rear camera to back up. Love to park and mpg reasonable for this type of car - got 35 mpg on highway. Miss the remote to open tailgate and thought the top of the line would have garage opener, but little things when the car drives so well. Looking forward to 4WD this winter.

a rerun for me

I owned a 1999 Honda CRV and use it as a trade in on a new Honda Crv. The car is very reliable and now has more bells and whistles than the old. I am very pleased so far with my new car.

3 CR-V's owner

I've owned a 2006, a 2010 and both exceeded my expectations, however when I purchased the 2012 it has was the winner hands down. The steering, handling, ride and quietness and I might add, the gas mileage, far exceeded the previous models. Honda has hit a home run.

Love this Car!

Great car! Very quiet, very smooth riding. Only reason I gave it a 4 star for performance was because it is not a 6 cylinder and doesn't have that get up and go when you hit the gas as much as I would like. Lots of space inside, love all the cup holders. Can't say enough good things about it! I put a spoiler on it and have gotten rave reviews about how great it looks...it really dresses up the vehicle.

Excellent Purchase

I spent a LOT of time researching my next purchase to include several hours at the Denver Car Show, visits to dealers and lots of time on-line. I selected the CR-V for the following reasons: -Reasonable price. There are a LOT of crossovers in this general price range but when you factor in that Honda produces very reliable cars, a lot of the competition goes away (why spend the same amount of money on a Kia or Hyundai when you can get a car know for its reliability?) -Popularity. The CR-V is one of the most popular small crossovers and while this is not a perfect indicator, is is a good one. -Interior room. Very good use of space and overall good layout. The driver cockpit is good but not perfect from my perspective but that is lot of individual taste. -On the road performance. I have put a bout 3K miles on the vehicle and I am overall happy with its performance. It handles well and has decent acceleration. Some additional notes: -It can be hard to get the price to come down significantly due to the popularity of the CR-V. -The base model (LX) can be hard to find. -The base model does NOT come with a rear cargo area cover. The dealer wants about $400 for the cover and it is difficult to find on-line but it can be found and I only paid about $100 (to include S7H)

Great Features, Missing the Sunroof

The included controls on the entry-level LX model are really impressive - Bluetooth for audio and phone with intuitive steering wheel mounted controls, well designed reverse camera. The car feels rock solid. The trunk is a little compromised, and I keep grabbing the false lip to find the latch to open the back.

the most comfortable car i've owned

just purchased this crv about a week ago, now put over 300 miles on it, feel pretty content with its performance, but there is one question i need to find out, why is the gas mileage going down? the first day of purchase, drove it home, with the ac on at the coolest, the number show 25.8,the day after i got a 100 miles highway trip, the mileage went down to 24.4, i thought it should have reached 30, or at least 29, cuz i have 4wd crv, isn't it supposed to be higher on the freeway? and i now only drive around the town, it went down to 23.7 with ac turned off an window closed,, i drive it very smoothy and gentlely, not aggressive al all, U GUYS HAVE ANY IDEA

Perfect vehicle

I've driven my CR-V EX-L now for ~2700 miles, and my enthusiasm for this little SUV keeps growing. In the beginning (Jan 2012) I was merely looking for something that makes a lot of sense, so the new CR-V model, which is offered at very low prices (my EX-L for little over 25k) was one of the obvious candidates: resale value is good, reliability scores are at the max., interior finish is nice, storage compartment is huge. When I test-drove the CR-V I was also impressed by the little road noise, the good handling and the direct steering. It drives like a sedan (or wagon) rather than a SUV. The only characteristic I wasn't really happy with in the beginning was the acceleration, BUT this changed A LOT, actually much more than with any other car I ever owned. After 1500 miles there was already a very clear improvement of the acceleration from the stand, and after 2500 miles I honestly don't know why a 6 cylinder engine would be necessary for this SUV. If you read something else in car reviews then this is probably because those professional test-drivers had a brand-new engine that was as sluggish as mine in the beginning. The 185 hp engine is more than adequate for this vehicle ! Another very impressive feature of the new CR-V is the fuel efficiency. 26-27 mpg around town and 33-35 mpg on the freeway are no problem. These numbers decrease by 2-3 mpg when the A/C is turned on. Conclusion: I'm extremely happy with this new Honda CR-V and I think I will keep it for a long time. This vehicle is perfect for >90% of the rides one needs to do. For the other 10% I have a little German sports car and the truck from a friend of mine :-)

Glad I Bought It

I am admittedly a big fan of Honda. This is my first CR-V and I am very pleased with its performance, handling, style and cargo capacity. It is easy and comfortable to drive, including for long distances, and it's substantial cargo capacity has already saved us a good bit of money in delivery fees since we can fit even fairly large pieces of furniture in the car. I would buy it again without hesitation.

one of the best buys for everyday use

For me this is one of the best available vehicles for the everyday use. It really offers a lot for the money (I bought my EX-L with RES for just over 25k in Northern Texas). For the same money you won't get as much Toyota RAV4 etc. The driving experience, handling, steering, comfort are very good. The brakes could be a bit stronger. The performance of the 4 cyl engine is also more than sufficient (acceleration is more than appropriate if one shifts the automatic gears) and it gets great gas mileage (I can get 26-28 mpg in town and 34-36 mpg on the freeway). The finish and feeling inside are also very good and in my opinion close to the quality offered by German manufacturers in the compact/mid-size segment. I definately recommend the 2012 CRV. A Diesel engine (6 manual gears with ~180hp and AWD) similar to what Mazda will soon offer for the CX5, would also be an ideal option for the CRV.
