Wow. What a disappointment

Honda has always been a car that had more power, sportier feel and superior acceleration to its closest rival Toyota. I test drove the one (Hr-v mid trim) and I was disappointed. What a boring car. Uncomfortable seats is the first thing that comes to mind. After 5 minutes of adjusting a was not able to find a position to feel relaxed. When I started the car the information panel screamed welcome from 90th with its plain black and white look. The on-board computer display was glowing yellow (like you old cell phone from 90th if you still remember) and was so busy that it was impossible to figure out what was there with a quick glance. The main display was boring as well. It started to look better when it was switched to radio. However, it looked its best when it was off. I wish it stayed that way, but it didn't. Every time I turned my right signal on it showed the video from a camera on the right side, that made me take my eyes from the road and look at the display. For a safety future it is a bit too intrusive and distracting. The a/c panel looked the most promising until the car started. It looked so analog! The contrast was even more noticeable due to the fact that it was actually touch screen. A touch on the screen would be followed by a loud beep similar to you microwave. Well, let's talk about important part - driving. It is a great vehicle if you are in a bumper-to-bumper traffic and don't have to accelerate or turn the steering wheel. If you attempt to do any of those - you will be met with slow acceleration, loud engine noise (under 3000 Rpm) and very slow response of the steering. Exterior was very boring as well. The wheels looked too small, the aluminum discs were simply blah. The only thing that was good is the leg room and the seats comfort of the second row. Good size of the trunk as well. What a disappointment. Honda failed on this one big time.

I love my HR-v

Safety is my greatest concern and I love the safety features of my HR-V. Passenger side Camera turn, camera reverse, AWD and automatic emergency call in case of an accident. My car is not too big and not too small. Yet, it holds a lot and is very comfortable.

After much consideration...

After being a long-time Honda CR-V EX owner, it was time to downsize yet keep many of the CR-V features for transporting stuff. The HR-V EX provides that, with both style and comfort. Nothing flashy, yet still attractive, the HR-V provides multiple ways to fold up or fold down rear seats yet still provides more-than-adequate room with seats in standard position for passengers and baggage, packages, etc. Engine may not have the fastest get up and go, but once it's going it does just fine. It is a 4-cylinder, after all, not a race car, so no surprises there. Steering wheel controls are easy to use and get used to, even though different from the old CR-V I had driven. Side mirror camera to see blind spot is great feature. Nice car.

Good to have some power again.

There's a raised floor area in the front seats which is little cumbersome. Was hoping to have satellite radio. More cost again.

Best car I ever owned, ever.

This is the perfect car for me. Great visibility, comfortable seating, safety features all top notch. Love the new deep ocean in pearl color. It looks like a milion dollars. I feel safe and proud

LX model vs EX Model Honda HRV

The EX model was very comfortable and was a smooth ride with attractive & roomy interior. The LX lacked on interior and looked cheap in comparison to EX. EX is the way to go, but may be overpriced in comparison to other similar models.

Waited a long time for this car

I had my previous Honda for twelve years, I still love my little Honda Civic and I was not going to give it up for just any car. The Honda HRV met all my needs, it handles very nicely, the ride is very smooth and quiet. I love the detailing inside and out. This new car is just what I wanted with the room that I needed. I am extremely satisified.

Love Hondas and this is no exception.

I went from a CRV to the HRV and am getting used to the slightly smaller sized interior. It is very easy to drive and I now have electronic features that help me in lane changing and reversing. It is great handling and runs smoothly on the freeway or in traffic.
