Style, comfort and GREAT gas mileage!

With comfortable seats that can be manually adjusted, a self-charging battery and 3 modes of driving to attain the highest MPG possible this car seems to have it all! In Eco mode, it uses the batter and gas in combination and currently I am getting a steady 55mpg! I have had trips where I reached 60mpg and some where it was 49mpg. Never have I gone below 47mpg though! There is plenty of headspace & legroom as my 6'2" son drives and rides comfortably and there is a very large trunk space making grocery & dump trips a breeze. 4-5 adults can ride comfortably and the middle seat can also be a pulldown cup holder/arm rest. My car has 12k miles and I love driving it! We shall see how it holds up in the NH winters once I get snow tires.

Pleasant Surprise - Interesting Experience

Comfortable to drive with a surprisingly torquey takeoff. The feel of the acceleration was an improvement over every other Honda on the lot. Especially in "Sport" mode. :) It doesn't have that typical CVT lag feel or high rpm turbo surge delay that irritates me in the other cars. Not as sporty perhaps, but a much better linear feel of "I ask for acceleration, I get acceleration." From an economy standpoint, I achieved 72.3 mpg on one 18 mile commute to work, and have overall been averaging about 54+ on my Touring model, better than predicted. This could easily be 48mpg but I'm actually enjoying the game of maximizing the computer/battery aided mileage. Maximizing EV time can create excellent mileage. Getting used to the silent start and battery operation is a pleasant adaptation. First hybrid/electric, so I'm still not there. Changes the interior noise flavor as the car is quiet but you can hear more of the road/air/tire sounds perhaps. Different, but quieter and I like it. Feels and handles like my son's 2018 Civic, feels firm but not hard, corners well. Interior layout is good. I didn't want all the lane-keep and safety features but they actually are useful and not too intrusive. Some road failures (long cracks and such) can set them off, a tad unnerving initially, but the car doesn't really take control, it's more like "nudging" and alerting to potential problems. I've learned to like the adaptive cruise control quite a bit. If I changed anything, it would be to have it sit a tad higher, but that's a factor of me getting older, not a flaw in the car. I'd love to have an AWD option as well as I live in the edge of Colorado mountains. The thing I have to get used to is the "digital" feel of its acceleration. Unlike a conventional engine, the "redline" if you will, is a hard set. It doesn't provide that analog last second stretch you might be used to, so passing, while well supported by good acceleration, does have an unusual feel and might be just a tad risky if you push it too close. Something to get used to - a true hard stop on acceleration, although for most situations you won't reach it. The engine "tone" when stressed is a bit annoying - higher pitch, a bit irritating, but not an excessive concern. All in all very comfortable and attractive car that doesn't look like the hybrid freak most cars resemble. I would like to add blind spot detection, memory for the electric seats, and lumbar support. Not having lumbar features in a 30k loaded model is a fail, not just an oops. So far comfort has been acceptable though. The best review I read about the car said it was a FINE car for FINE people who appreciate FINE performance. My take is that it exceeds FINE in many aspects, but certainly resembles that assessment. No regrets after about 1400 miles.

Loving this Insight!!!

I’m used to more power, I used to own a Crosstour. But I do love the bells and whistles that the insight brings to the table, my 7th Honda I owned and love it like the rest.

Best car I’ve ever owned!

The Insight is simply phenomenal! I didn’t like the idea of a hybrid because of their looks and power, but I get compliments on this car all the time and it outperforms my Mercedes GLA250 with twice the MPG and $13k less. There’s not a bad word I can say about this car! I recommend it to just about anyone!

Great driving hybrid!

This car is very comfortable, gets great mileage once you learn how to drive it, and most of all (I've never seen this in reviews!) It's really fun to drive!. The handling is amazing, like an expensive sports car.

Honda Insight: Smart is also Sexy

I went in to buy a souped up turbo manual accord EXL. And then as I was walking across the parking lot, I saw the Insight . I’m always trying to figure out ways in which to reduce my carbon footprint. And suddenly I realized that I have a motorcycle for speed & power. I should look at something that helps the environment. I know that batteries are also lethal To the environment, but they have vastly improved even in the past year and by the time I need a new battery pack (my housemate needs one after 280,000 miles! on a 12 year old car) well, think of the barrels of dinosaur sap I DIDN’T consume! So right before the final signatures on the accord I asked if I could test drive the Insight. Just to ease my moral obligation. I had no intention of actually buying it. But having noticed it… And you couldn’t fail to notice it because it really is good looking! Like one of the better looking cars I’ve seen—not just a good looking hybrid! Then I drove it. It wasn’t even a manual which I am a dyed in the wool believer in. It is snazzy it is sexy it drives like it’s secretly a Formula 1... I bought it. And now because it’s smarter than me I have to go in for a full tutorial on how all the bells and whistle‘s work LOL

Bought a 2019 Honda Insight Touring hybrid

Bought a 2019 Honda Insight Touring hybrid. Was going to get the LX, but EX was a tiny bit more. Then decided on the Touring model because of all the extras including heated leather seats, sunroof, nicer wheels, chrome trim, etc. Totally worth it.

A beautiful hybrid that looks a standard motor car. Rides smooth, looks sleek and is easy to use. I highly recommend this car to all.
