2018 Honda Odyssey consumer reviews

This is the worst car I have ever own! There were multiple recalls (which isn't bad) and the infotainment system always stopped working (very annoying). The worst issues were when it would slam on the brakes while driving on the highway, a transmission replacement at 23,000 miles, and honda sensing making things very unsafe! (Pulling me into another Lane while a car was next to me, slamming on the brakes, and more) My "favorite" thing was when it shifted itself into park while cruising at 50 mph. Honda acknowledge that there was issues but the only thing they would fix was replacing the transmission. After two years of ownership and over 50 trips to the dealership, I traded that car in. So much for Honda reliability.

Information system would consistently crash. Dealership denied problem and would not repair even though they had seen the problem. Then told us the 2019 model was obsolete and not supported. Terrible attitude and service. Sold vehicle never going back.

It’s hard to fight with the safety track record for this van. Safety was our number one priority, so it’s just lucky that this van is also so spacious and user friendly as well!

Style and comfort is A+! Unfortunately, I’ve had my 2018 Honda Odyssey in the shop more than any other vehicle I’ve ever owned. From recalls, water leak in trunk, locked arm rest (which is locked again), and now it need all the fuel injectors replaced. I was driving when it started losing power and rotating through every warning light possible. I had to have it towed to dealership and The quote to get it running is over $1600!!!! I about died. Van is 2 years old and needs this kind of money pumped in it already!?!?! I am so unhappy. This is just wrong. I bought a new van thinking it would be dependable...

This is my second Odyssey and I love it. The car drives itself with land assist and speed control. The only negative is interior road noise on the hwy's overlaid with hot mix. On semi-level roads I get 29 mpg. Stop and go travel gets 24.

It was the exactly vehicle we had been planning to buy for about a year. We especially like the safety features and very comfortable driving and riding.

This car meets all of our needs very well. Seats 8 real people nicely. The odyssey is roomy and comfortable. Has great entertainment and tech features. Good value for the money.

2018 Elite model is amazing. Honda thought of everything! DVD to cabin Mic allows you to talk to people in back seat without shouting. Cabin camera is would be amazing for family with little children. Highly recommend. Hondas run forever!

It is a very comfortable ride except for the non stop irritating squeaking noise that no one can seem to find and repair. I was originally very intimidated by the dashboard when we first bought the car. I felt like I was in the Enterprise from Star Trek. I’m used to it now and I do enjoy many of the features. We have had nonstop issues with the sliding doors on this vehicle. They won’t open when I’m dropping the kids off at school. They won’t close when the kids get in. I have to get out of the car and run around to the other side to let them out. Extremely frustrating. We have had the door mechanisms replaced twice already. My battery died when the car was a year old. That was a nightmare. I found out it was recalled after the battery died. My sunroof got stuck wide open. I had to go back for that as well. There is a button to disable a feature from turning off the engine at red lights. The button is useless because car seems to decide on its own when it wants to offer this feature and when it doesn’t. Overall, there are a lot of glitches with car. There are a couple of more that I can’t think of right now. I tend to mumble under my breath how much I hate this car at least 3 times a week. I can’t wait for the lease to be up.
