2005 Honda Pilot consumer reviews

I bought my 2005 Honda Pilot In the summer of 2004. Since then I have put 98,000 miles on it and I have had no problems with it at all. If I was looking for a used reliable Suv I would definitly consider this. My next vehicle will be an acura or a Honda. The 3.5 L engine has 260 horsepower. That is plenty for this vehicle. The 5 speed automatic transmision shifts very smoothly. It is very quiet on the road and rides real nice. The radio is very good. The second row is big enough and the third row is on the small side but seats 3. This was the first honda vehicle I have bought and I love it. If would recomend this vehicle used.

I love this car! I bought a used 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L in excellent condition in Sept 07 and I have not been disappointed. I have never owned a Honda but am well aware of their reputation. The Honda vehicle definitely lives up to its name. I was recently in an pretty severe accident and the Honda did amazingly well considering the impact. The car is probably totaled, but I know considering the impact that it could have been far worse. I managed to walk away with just scrapes and bruises by God's grace. The police officer even commented on how well the Honda faired considering the impact. I am now searching for another Honda Pilot. If you are considering buying an SUV, Honda should be your only choice. You won't be disappointed.

The Pilot is an awesome SUV. Excellent quality, firm comfortable ride, strong and fast engine that's buttery smooth, great 5spd auto, very quiet, plenty of storage space and very spacious cabin. Wish the EX model come with a sunroof and heated outside mirrors. Can't beat how well it handle for it's size and the impressive efficiency. Purchased my Pilot used with 16K miles, practically new with the strong, tight structure and no rattles. Very impressive!

This is an awesome SUV from every perspective! Mileage is better than EPA estimates; the leather seats stay cool in summer and warm up quickly in winter; the ride is smoother than expected for a 4x4; adults can fit comfortably in the 3d row seat; sound system is better quality than expected from a factory unit; the only thing I can complain about is Honda putting 16" wheels on this vehicle - overall I'd rate it a 10 and would definately buy again!

Pro: Very comfortable ride. Easy to drive,numerous safety features, lots of storage. Handles well in the rain. Con: No daytime running lights or fog lights. No lights on steering wheel controls.

Lots of standard features make this truck feel like a luxury vehicle. High performance and comfortable ride make it a great value.

Super car, comfortable, good on gas for it's size, lots of extra features are standard. Third row seats are more for children, not large adults, but an absolute must with grandchildren. I would buy another if I had to replace the one I have. I definitely am pleased......

The vehicle I bought was at the end of the model year in 2005 and have been pleased with the comfort and ride of the vehicle. The published mileage is a little generous and I have yet to see the types of #'s they have reported. A couple of rattles in the dash and squeaks in the door seals that surprise me coming from a product from Honda. Overall, the Pilot has performed well. We've hauled 8 people, 25 bags of mulch, a couch and several other things. It's spacious for sure and a good ride for all passengers. It's solid.
