Hidden Luxury
I have only had this for a short time, but I love it. Extremely smooth ride and the inside features are great. This vehicle would be comparable to a Lexus or Acura without the finishing touches. The outside is deceiving as it has a plain style that doesn't give any hint to what awaits the driver. The leather seats are extremely comfortable and the layout of the dash is straightforward and easily accessible. Plenty of interior room and has a truck feel on the inside. Exterior is plain but practical. It looks much larger then the previous generations and has a rugged look. Performance is great with a peppy 6 cylinder that has enough available acceleration for the average user. Gas mileage is what to be expected with a firm 21 mpg highway. I was able to squeeze it to 23 with a feather like foot on accelerator and using cruise control. It handles firmly and gives an impression of great traction. I drove this through several snowstorms without that "losing it" feeling.

Great car!
The car is an incredible awesome car! I love the car because recently had friends visiting from Quebec Canada and fit all eight comfortably in the Honda Pilot.

Great all-around vehicle for large family
I bought this car to car-pool 6 high school students, tow a light horse trailer (with 2 horses), and commute to work. It is a great all-around vehicle to do all those things. With the newer body style (starting in 2009) it has decent leg room in the second and third seats for tall teenage boys. This midsize 4WD SUV has enough power to tow 4500 pounds. It's not fast towing 2 horses up steep hills but it gets the job done. Because I put a lot of miles on my car going to and from work, it helps to have these features without having to buy a giant SUV that guzzles gas. It has nice handling and power on my hilly, winding commute, and the controls are all well thought out. Overall, a very nice pick for my family.

Why stupid complaints ?
Why all the stupid complaints ? This is a great vehicle. Bought used one year ago and its the best vehicle I have ever owned. If you want to get 16 mpg in town and 25 on the highway just let up on the accelerator. Going 68 mph on the highway you should get 25mpg. Rides great, no problems, great interior. Tows my boat fine and has just enough pickup. No complaints !

Absolutely Horrific
We had traded our Envoy XL Denali for this garbage. If you want to know where all your recycled plastic is going, it's right in here. There's plastic galore, not one hint of wood. Also the car is terribly underpowered, going from a 300hp V8 to a 250hp V6. There is absolutely no insulation, sometimes I can even hear the engine revving over the radio. The navigation is also no good. It tells you when to turn at almost the exact instant the turn has to be made. The exterior is also cheap. If you're going to spend 40k on a car, it better be worth it. The paint is thin, so it constantly scratches. The pin-striping is falling off, and it looks like a box. Also, the trunk is so tiny. You can't put anything in there without putting the third row down. The seating is also cramped. I'm 5'5" and cramped in the second row, and in the third row, my knees are resting against the second row. Overall horrible car. Not one thing I like about it. Can't wait until the lease is up so we can get an Acadia Denali.

Hummmm...Like it could be better...
Comfortable and spacey , you don?t have to worry about the back setters not having enough space? Eliminate the third row and you have all the space you need. But the paint job on the car is ussueish. The coat is thin, and my bumpers paint had to be redone a couple of times. Almost got stuck in the mud, and it dose have issues getting out of some situations. The interior could be quit better and dose look cheap, when compared to other cars. The plastic dose make quite an array of annoying little noises? I have considered changing it but when you go out and compare? I?ll keep my baby! She has never had a mayor problem!

Great pick
I researched different SUVs for several months prior to purchasing my Pilot. I have to say I love everything about it. It drives great. A ton of interior room too! Great buy!

Really wish I had bought something else.
So two years ago I'm doing my diligent research online, comparing several mid-size SUV's including the Acadia, Enclave, and the Pilot Touring. After years of dealing with sub-par vehicles from Detroit, I decided to go with the Honda given their rock-solid reputation for building reliable vehicles. Well, two years later I have so many little gripes about this car that add up to big buyer's remorse. Gas mileage is poor (never reach EPA ratings on this thing, average about 15 mpg combined even with a fair amount of highway driving and despite the fancy cylinder deactivation feature). The power is only so-so, not very peppy so I have a hard time passing others on the freeway. And the ride leaves much to be desired...kinda floaty like an old Buick but still lots of shudder over uneven pavement and potholes, go figure. I actually like the styling, kinda old-school which I prefer to the new curvy CUV thing but the body/paint seem to dent and scratch pretty easily, big chips on hood, several little chips on the door frame. The interior is very cheap. Lots of hard plastic (which make it have way more rattles and creaks than my Mazda which is 3 years older and cost half as much yet feels much more solidly put together). Poor quality leather had creases within just a few months of buying and now looks very worn and dirty, tried several leather cleaners and nothing seems to get the stains out. Problems with fuel pressure (keep getting "tighten fuel cap" message despite cranking that thing shut every time) that dealer cannot seem to fix. And now the brakes warped at less than 30K miles?!?!? Even my old Dodge didn't do that!!! I like the bluetooth and Ipod control, but the navigation really needs a touchscreen, using the dial takes way too long to enter a simple address. Voice control - hit or miss. Doesn't understand a command about half the time i try to use it. And why does it cost $180 to upgrade the POI every year?!?!?! I can buy an entirely new aftermarket GPS system for less than what Honda wants to charge for a little CD!!! For what this thing cost new, I would expect at least a 6-sp transmission for better mileage, more upscale interior with softer plastic and much better attention to build quality. I had planned on keeping this thing for 10 years, but I'm giving up on it, trading in and certainly not for another Honda.

Very Satisfied
Just bought certified used. Dealership very helpful. Best car I have owned in 40 years. Heat and AC is great. Sound system is the best. Mileage is the same as most vehicles in this class. I tow a boat and two dogs and lots of stuff. Feels very safe and capable.

Reliable but boring
This car is reliable and functional. I tried to add to the car to make it less boring but found that hard to do. I don't like the automatice 4wd and got stuck once last winter because it didn't convert to 4WD in time. Reliable but very boring.
