So Impressed!!!

We were torn between a GX470 and the Pilot. We own an RX350 and love it but needed something with 3 rows for carpooling and long road trips. The Pilot Touring 4X4 with Res offered everything plus more! It seemed so much larger than the old Pilot model and the current GX470. The seats are comfortable, the cabin is spacious and there is SO much storage! The navigation system is amazing! It is a voice activated system that controls audio, temperature, phone...everything in the car...The drive is quiet, smooth and strong. The GX470 is bit more plush than the Pilot but at 48K it should be! We are so pleased with our purchase!

WOW, what a ride!!!

I bought a 2009 Pilot EX-L, however I went to the dealership to buy a 2006-2007 Pilot. I was really dissapointed in how cheap the interior looked. The dealer then pointed me too the '09 Pilot EX-L, WOW what a difference!!! The new Pilot's are so stylish, roomy, and the ride is fantastic, if I didn't know better I would swear I was riding in a luxury sedan. I would say that the EX-L is definitely worth the extra money, I think the back-up camera in the rear view mirror alone is worth the price difference.

Wow!

Wow, this is my 15th or 16th car I've bought. I love to drive and I love functionality. Most cars I can figure out all the "ins-and-outs" prior to leaving the lot. My new Pilot, holy-cow, I'm still learning all the nice surprises almost every day! I've compared two other vehicles with this; the 2009 MDX and 2010 RX350. While the MDX and RX are superior in luxury and comfort, daily functionality, std options, and useability in the end won me over. The MDX w/o the RES but with the Tech pkg was around $40k! My Pilot w/NAV & RES 4WD Touring was under $36k! I've had other Honda Nav sys and they were so so. This new NAV's voice control is better. The "uni-controller" is AWEFULL! I've had previous Honda's touch screen and they were better! (BTW, be carefiul NOT to insert new NAV DVD into older NAV systems... ROOMY! Most leg/head room of any on par third row seating! 2nd row also adjusts but does not recline. DVD comes with three headphone jacks (each with separate volume cntrl) and two WIRELESS headsets! iPod Touch plugs right in (though no video supported from Touch). Even supports plain USB memory sticks with MP3/WMAs! Power seats for passenger! All rear seats fold flat in 60/40 config. Oh, rear storage is great, has a lift-and-stow with a built in net for 30lb storage! Has two small compartment glove-box" like storage in rear too.

AMAZING value

Just purchased the 2009 Honda Pilot Touring 2x4 for just over 32K. It has amazing value; intuitive navigation, backup camera, parking sensors, rear power lift, great iPod integration, black leather interior and lots more that are really great. The stability and weighted steering on this car makes you feel really secure.

love the honda pilot

Bought a 2009 pilot EX-L about 6 weeks ago. I love to drive this car. It has a sturdy feel to it and is very comfortable as well. It has plenty of room and can actully seat 8 passengers unlike some other vehicles that claim to seat 8.

Very nice car

Have owned the 2009 Pilot Touring since May 2008. I went from a Suburban to this Pilot. Needed a vehicle with space but not as big as a Suburban any longer. This is a great vehicle. As a woman I can lay seats down, pull them up, change to any configuration very easily. With the Suburban I had to climb up in it and the seats were very heavy. Third row seat is comfortable for 2 adults on a long trip (5-8hrs.). Handles very well, feels very stable when driving in water or wind. I am a little disappointed in the gas mileage and the comfort on long trips. I feel the front seats could be more comfortable. More of a blind spot on the drivers side than I would like unless the seat is back pretty far. Very comfortable seat belts and adjustable. Good amount of cup holders and temperature adjustments. Nice height off the ground, but not too high. Great car for a woman with kids. Wish I had this vehicle when my kids were growing up.

Best value in a large SUV

I checked out the GM Lambda platform vehicles (Outlook, Traverse, and Acadia), the Mazda CX-9, Toyota Highlander, and Nissan Pathfinder. The redesigned 2009 Pilot was by far the best vehicle for the money. All the competitors seemed to have cheap interiors, or poor fit/finish. I have found it comfortable, well built, and love the ride.

Don't get stuck in snow

The pilot has benn flawless fot the past 4months and nothing to report wrong with it. It is very comfortable to drive I could drive the pilot all day if I had to.Good gas mileage at 21 hwy and 20 city. However we recently got stuck in a small snow bank and spun the tires down to the grass eventually turing to mud and we tried putting it into vtm-4 lock and the rear tires did not have enough torge to even spin at all and If they had enough torqe we could of got out.The manual says it sends SOME torqe to the rear wheels but not enough to make it true 4wheel drive like the all-wheel drive explorers. So stay out of the deeper snow and don't spin the front tires to much or the transmission light will come on telling you the a/t is getting to hot.And if there is more than 5in. of mud don't even try.

2009 Honda Pilot, The Best SUV Ever!

We purchased this vehicle Aug 2008. When we test drove it, we knew it was the Suv for us. The ride is so smooth and quiet. The space, forget about it. We are a family of 5 and the kids don't complain. I enjoy this SUV so much I make up places to go, even with the high gas prices! Amazingly it is not a gas guzzler like the other SUV's. We drove from NJ to Pa and the gas hand did'nt bulge . If you're looking for a vechile with comfort, space, and great gas mileage, then the '09 Pilot is it!

sexy, Execellent SUV

This SUV is terrific! It rides so quietly and feels so sturdy. "Variable Cylinder Management" which the display can tell you if it is running in 3 or 4 cylinders instead of showing just ECO. Because of this I have fun driving. Smooth power output , easy to drive , great cargo , great leather , great sound ,back camea, so good 2 adults & 1child + front a/c & rear a/c On ; 21~24 Gas mileage mixed city20%/Highway80% but only citiy mileage 16~18 something...
