Very comfortable truck

I have waited a long time for Honda to produce a truck that actually looked like a truck. Also, I wanted to have a smooth riding mid-size truck with reasonable gas mileage. I previously owned a large pick-up truck but was not happy with the rough ride and horrible gas mileage. After much research with similar sized vehicles, it came down to selecting the Honda Ridgeline. I have always appreciated Honda's "no extra cost" standard equipment features and new innovative designs like the capless fuel filler. I am a big fan of Honda vehicles and have owned various models, i.e. CRV(s), Accord, Pilot(s), and the Ridgeline does not disappoint. It actually feels like a Pilot with a truck bed in the back. My only complain is not with the vehicle itself, but because of its somewhat unique design, it is hard to find racks for the truck bed - otherwise overall satisfaction is OUTSTANDING!

An excellent ride.

This truck does it all. Provides space to hall a 4x8 sheet of plywood along with groceries and the dog. Very quiet with no rattles. Love it.

Does everything well.

Very smooth and quiet ride. The engine/transmission combination is smooth and powerful. I bought the Black Edition, and I am very happy with it. I have had full sized trucks for years. This truck meets my needs, I don't haul heavy loads or tow large items. If you are the average homeowner who needs a truck for around the house chores, you won't find a better choice. Averaged 25.6 mpg from Nashville, Tn to Gatlinburg , Tn round trip in economy mode on our first trip in it.

It?s excellent reputation is well earned

Yup, this is the one. Rides like a MDX, cleans up real nice, nice roomy interior but it?s the Honda tech that makes the difference. Safest vehicle in its class. Everything works, all the time. The info centre is a bit eccentric but it will be updated in the next iteration, and the sound on the upgraded Touring model is real nice. I hesitated paying for the premium model but worth the extra. Upgraded the fogs to LED and the white brightness lights up my world? that I share with truant deer on darkened highways. Put on a Honda Spec high end tonneau cover and you?re good to go. Ride, smoothness and convenience insurmountable. Not overdone, done just right for an every day drive in the foothills of the Rockies - the playground of trucks. Truck or car? Who cares, have fun and be safe.

Reliable Truck

I enjoy everything about my Honda Black Edition especially the way the tailgate door opens, I carry my plants and do not have to crawl to through the door to get them. Great truck.

A joy to own

Wow we enjoy the trunk in the bed. The lay out is great. MPG is outstanding on a long trip. Wish that it would have more downshift control. Living in the mountains this is a big thing. Need more control without burning up the brakes

Test drove the 2014, then the 2018

I was fortunate to find a dealership that had both a used 2014, and a new 2018 Ridgeline. I tested them back to back, and there is a world of difference in performance and aesthetics. The interior of the cab is nice and everything had a high end feel. I did not care for the ALL touchscreen layout for music, nav, and volume controls. It certainly has more power than the previous model. That might be because of the 6-speed box that just knows which gear to be in at most cruising speeds.

Great vehicle!

I wanted a truck, but one with exceptional handling. This truck drives great and has many great suburban truck features like the dual tailgate, in bed trunk, built in bedliner..etc. only thing missing for me is lack of built in SiriusXM on lower trim level, though I added a receiver for $75. Very happy with the high quality. This vehicle turns heads too with sharp style and beautiful pearl white paint finish.
