Nice SUV

Was looking for a Wrangler Unlimited, then drove an H3 and instantly changed my mind. The H3 drives like a luxury car, very comfortable and roomy, handles very well. Gas mileage is better then a jeep, ( I get around 18mg )its a little slow out of the gate but once your moving you cruise at 65mph @2000RPM.

good car

The a good car the only thing too watch out for is the serurity system because if you pull the handle to much the car goes into a lock and you cant start it for 20 minits.

What a suprise!

My wife and I started looking at SUV's with an open mind. Upon seeing an H3 on a used lot, we test drove it. Hello! Wow, smooth, easy to handle, nice turn radius, and an overall feel of quality. Not a Jeepy feel like I was expecting, but more of a Cadillac with bigger tires. Comfortable inside, and an overall feeling of safety. The wife liked it so much, she wanted to drive an H2! We purchased a used 06 with the luxury package and low miles for a great price. I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a mid-size SUV, to at least test drive an H3. 19 MPG highway isn't bad either.

GREAT OFF-ROAD, after-market add-on increased MPG!

The Hummer H3 is more than dependable, and is great for off-road use. The fuel economy can be greatly increased by simply adding an after-market vortex to the intake system. The one I purchased cost less than $300, and took less than an hour to install. Now the H3 is getting 22mpg in town, and between 28 and 29mpg on the highway. I'm happy with this vehicle. Acceleration is slow, but I'm almost 50 and my own acceleration is a bit slow. All in all, I recommend the H3 for anyone who wants the benefits of a Hummer, a good off-road rig, or just a nice all around multi-purpose vehicle.

Fun car to drive with flaws

Its a fun truck to drive for a single guy, not too big or too small. Reasonably priced, Unique looking truck from the blending SUV's of today. Positively surprised from what I usually expect from GM(usually negative). This truck is however, a major downgrade from my weekend truck Mercedes M class SUV. It is missing many features from what should be standard. It does have many weird noises, but minor annoyance. It is definitely a turtle, slowest SUV I ever driven. TMD

hummer H3

i personally have never driven a H3 but i've had a ride in one as i am only 12 and i live in england so it would have been quite silly to drive from on corner to the other without having a go in one, id say its really good

Love it

I recently bought my H3 I have already taken it off road and on a road trip to cali. Both times I was impressed. Unbeleivable off road performance, lots of fun. Bad points-some road noise at high speeds(it is an off road vehicle), slow acceleration, and small vision field out the rear view mirror. Mine has adventure package, though I didn't even switch into 4 low lock or 4 high lock when I went off road. Up hills, in washes, throughout the deserts of AZ.

LOVE IT!

We got the H3 new and LOVE it. Only draw backs is I wish it had a little stronger engine, hate that is comes with XM would prefer Sirrus and will be changing that out does need a better view from back end. We do get some wind noise, but nothing more than we had in our Dodge.

Worst Hummer Car ever!

I have bought this car a long time ago...and there is engine noise, everything. This is the worst Hummer Car I've ever seen! Don't buy this car if you don't have too! I have 2000 miles in it, and, it's been causing problems for me already! There's engine noises, sometimes, loud, and sometimes soft. It's definately not worth my money...and it shouldn't be for yours. I don't think this was a good Hummer car they made after the suprisingly, cool H2. I think this is the worst car in the history of all the cars, that I've thought to be bad...It was a total WASTE on my money!!!

Unpleasantly surprised

I know Hummer get's flack for being inefficient, but that's not my beef with this car. I do have a hybrid vehicle as my main car, but I also have a 4x4 to play in, and like to always have something I can camp with and off-road in the Sierra Nevada's. I had seen the H3 at an LA car show, and was very impressed with it- GM seemed to have done a good job putting a car together FINALLY! But then, I drove one. I recently took one for a spin to see how it handled etc, and was so sad. The engine was so sloooow, I kept waiting for it to get up and go! And the rear view is terrible, I have a rear view camera now, and I love it- the H3 definately needs one, or many people will be replacing their rear bumber's and who know's what they will damage by running it over. I was hoping to like it, I was previously disappointed by a new competitor that I found out required premium fuel- ouch- and really looked forward to the H3. For now I will stick with my truck...
