2013 Elantra

Very comfortable, love the hatchback, reasonable power, and great looking. I am getting an average of 32 mpg during the winter months of Colorado. No complaints from me on this. Summer fuel will eliminate the gas additives, so my mpg's should improve a bit (5%). I really like this car!

Great car

With new design, this car is going places. The only issue I have is that there is no diesel variant.

Elantra - Bad Customer Service

I bought the 2012 Elantra after reading reviews and saw the mileage that was on the window sticker, to later find out that Hyundai was overstated the MPG, same as their sister company KIA. My mileage is NOT even close to the window sticker that came with the car. I have complained to Hydundai corporate and have gotten nothing but excuses and it seems no desire to fix the MPG problems with this car. I have also found out that a class action law suit has also been filed on behalf of Elantra owners by a law firm back east. In the meantime the EPA has stepped in and both Hyundai & KAI have issued gas cars for certain vehicles. I have a Elantra & own a KIA Soul which have both been issued gas cards. The funny part is my MPG on the Elantra is suppose to be better than the Soul, which is not the case. I have about 3000 miles more than the Soul. I received a gas card for $63.00 and the Soul is for $ 274.00. Go figure! These will be issued supposedly for the mileage driven for the life of the vehicle. My overall review would recommend to look at different companies to buy your vehicles from. They talk a good game, but do not back up their product from my experience dealing with them. Good Luck!

Disappointed in MPG

The car is my 2nd Elantra, the 1st was a 2009. My 2009 had alot better get and go then my 2012. The interior and exterior are far and above in the 2012. I'm reallt upset though with the MPG. The rebate that Hyundai has for the difference in the mpg compared to the window sticker is a big Joke! I bought this car because of the advertised MPG. I wish I could take it back since this is a case of false ad. Looking to trade it off and I just passed 8000. miles.

The Car With the Most Bang for the Buck.

Great car, rides smooth and great on gas. This is the second Elantra I have owned and it will not be my last. Great on gas and great looks too. The safety ratings are rated in the top for cars. Just a great car for the money.

Nice Ride

I bought this car for my wife, and she was very happy with everything about it. Color , style , roominess for the kids , trunk space. Bought one of the very first ones in our region in Feb. 2011.

Great car

I now have 14,000 on her. Last two cars were Cadillacs. The Feel inside is like a airplane. She is the best car I have owned, in terms of getting me around with great MPGS. Can pass on a highway hills, and is very fun to drive with the 6 speed Manual. My wife has learned to drive Manual on this car. It has had no problems. O yeah the best looking car in its class.

Good Value

The Elantra is a good value for the money. Overall gas mileage after about 3,000 miles is 32mpg, we drive mostly highway with bad traffic. Comfortable seating and user friendly interior. Great commuter car. Best: MPG, looks, and value for the dollar Worst: no spare tire, no lock on trunk, slow rear defroster

Great Little Car

I bought this car for my self and my young (small) family. It gets great gas mileage, drives nicely, and I feel as though my family is protected in the event of an accident. I am a big guy, 6'3" 220lbs and do not have a problem fitting in the front. The only fit problem I have is with the headroom in the backseat. The trunk is very roomy for such a small car. I sacrificed power for fuel efficiency and do not regret it, especially on the many road trips we've taken since purchasing the Elantra 7700 miles ago.
