Do not buy a Hyundai!!!
Do not buy a Hyundai car. October 2012, when I was in the market to buy a new car, the most important factor for me was fuel efficiency. I was looking to buy a Prius, but when I saw the mileage being advertised on the Hyundai elantra - 41 mpg on hwy and 37/39 on the inside roads, I changed my mind and bought the 2013 Hyundai Elantra. Today I regret this decision. I have kept a detailed account every time I filled up the gas tank and I have calculated how much gas mileage I get. It does not even come close to 37 or 41!!!! I barely reach 22 mpg on the inside roads and maybe 26 or 28 on the highways!! What's worse it that I get an actual reading of the current mpg on my dash board, so the low mpg that I get from Hyundai is constantly in my facei!!! A few months after I bought the car I received a letter from Hyundai saying that they have misrepresented the advertised mpg and they have a reimbursement program in place based on your odometer readings and the price of gas in your area etc!! That's just pennies thrown at us to be quiet!!! There is nothing I can do and I feel so cheated! A big company like Hyundai has gotten away with Fraud and deception and the small consumer cannot do anything about it!!!

Jazzy car
Cutest car I've ever owned. Just love it. I waned to go with a smaller car and the Elantra fit just perfectly.

good car, but watch who you deal with
Although I am pleased with my Elantra, I did not have a very pleasant buying experience. Most of them were loaded with extra I felt I didn't need or want, and they were out of the colors I preferred. Nevertheless, this is a lot of car for the money. The engine is peppy enough, air conditioner works well, and I have been averaging about 30 mpg. thus far. Prospective buyers should be aware that the car does not come equipped with either a full spare tire or a doughnut, something that none of the salespeople felt they needed to mention. Make sure you ask whether they have doughnuts in stock before you agree to visit the dealership.

I love my New Car!
I think this has to be the best car that I have ever bought. I absolutely love to drive it~ I love the way it's sleek design looks when it is clean. I bought white not thinking I would really like that color but it is actually great because it hardly shows dust and dirt if it is dirty.

new Hyandai owner review
We shopped every car dealership that we could find and drove all comparable cars in this class. Value, perform-ance, workmanship and warranty, the Hyandai Elantra stood out as the best. If you want a lot of speed under the hood, the car would not be best, but for overall family car with luxury feel with lower class budget, the Elantra was the best. The people were great to work with also at Bill Hood Hyandai Dealership. We have become permanent Honda converts. We have found the Honda no longer lives up to its billing and has to many mechanical problems with repairs after warranty goes out.

2013 Elantra
A very good vehicle for the money. You have a lot of standard feature that would be an option to other cars like heat seat, fog light, auto-dim back mirror, alloy wheel and many more. Something I don't get used to at beginning was the steering wheel is lighter, gas pedal is heavier than my other car. After drive a certain period. I already used to it. It also has some downsides. Such as the A/C is cooling slower than my other cars. Insulation not that good. Once you turn off the AC. It turns cold or hot very fast in winter and summer. The gas seems not completely combustion (checked the exhaust pipe and your finger gets dark). Mileage not as good as mentioned. Other than these, it is a good car worth t own.

Great car-
This is my second Elantra that I have purchased. I love the roomy interior! The dash and console are nicely designed- they make the interior look sharp. The exterior is sharp and clean looking- very pleasing to look at. The trunk space is awesome! I purchased the GLS automatic- this car drives like a dream. Thanks Hyundai for the extras- cloth heated seats, bluetooth package, controls for the radio, cruise and trip information on the steering wheel, great fuel mileage (so far I get 34 mpg) I have only had the car about two weeks- so reliability I can't speak to on this car. The 2006 I had previously ran great. The reason for the new car purchase was an auto accident which totalled the 06. If you're thinking about a new car purchase- and you want the most out of your money I believe this is the way to go. Regards

Glad I decided to buy this car
I did a lot of research before deciding on the elantra. The engine is fantastically responsive, the stereo is great at any volume, and the fuel consumption is outstanding. I absolutely love this car!

Great value
Only owned my Elantra Limited for 3 weeks, love it so far. Have almost 1000 miles on it. Took it to DC the day after purchase and got over 40 mpg(according to the dash computer). Averaging about 33-35 real mileage of combined city and hwy. Only problem was road noise, which improved greatly when I checked the air pressure. The dealer gave it to me with 37-38 psi !! Dropped it to 32 and the noises over every little seam in the road was greatly improved.
