2023 Hyundai Elantra consumer reviews

This car has been a money pit. I have received at least one letter a year notifying me about yet another recall on this model. I have had to replace an exhausting amount of car parts and spend way more money than this car is worth.

I recently upgraded from my 2010 elantra to a black 2023 elantra sel convince. This is a great car EXCEPT for the paint. the paint on this vehicle was not polished properly in certain spots and after only 3 weeks damage to the clear coat and chips have already occurred! Keep in mind i drive this car the same way i have driven previous cars and never before have i seen so much damage to the paint accumulate in the span of less than a month after purchasing. Great safety features and just enough power- just a crappy paint job. If you are going to purchase this car, silver, gray or white would probably be your best bet.

I hate the side profile of the hood. There is nowheres to sit items on a long trip such as crevisis, knucks and cranies to put ur chips, candy bar and left over lunch in

This is my 3rd Elantra. You get a bang for your buck with this one. It has style, beauty and the gas mileage is amazing. I love the comfort of this car and enjoy driving it. I am sold on the Elantra.

Our 2023 Elantra is just a month old, but we love it. Exterior styling is great and sporty. Interior is well designed, but the bar on the center stack is unnecessary. We love the Fluid Metal color. Our mpg so far is incredible.

We bought our 2023 Huundai Elantra SEL at Star Hyundai in Bayside, N.Y. The car is great. It came with the convenience package. It was a little more than what we wanted in a car ... we're simple people. BUT, A WARNING TO ALL CONSUMERS ... STAY AWAY FROM STAR HYUNDAI IN BAYSIDE NY. THEY GAVE POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY'RE CROOKS!! As much as I love my new 2023 Elantra, the dealer made buying a new car that should be a wonderful experience and turned it into a very BAD EXPERIENCE! The dealer was rude, nasty and dishonest. My $25,150 car ended up final a total of $32,000 that was including my BIG DOWN PAYMENT. Because of their dishonesty, this made my car extremely unaffordable. The dealer took advantage of our horrible circumstances and I resent them for that. My husband and I lost our 2018 Elantra due to a lot of damage and our insurance company only gave us a week to turn in the rental. So, it gave my husband and I 1 weekend to buy a new car. The dealer saw we were stressed and vulnerable and they took advantage of us. 1 mistake my husband and I made was to tell them we had only 1 weekend to find a car because we had to give back the rental in less than 7 days. So, it didn't leave us time to go from dealer to dealer. Unfortunately, we signed the contract blindly because we needed the car and we needed to get out of there because we made ourselves sick over this horrible experience. We called the dealer a few days later or so when our minds were a little clearer we called the dealer back to explain how they got to the amount of $32,000. Would you believe that they got nasty, and started yelling at us because we received a survey from Hyundai to rate our service and we didn't give them a good rating. So, they weren't willing to speak with us on a professional level. That just shows you how thinned skin the dealer was. We launched a complaint to Hyundai Corporation and they said "sorry about your bad experience, but each Hyundai dealer is individually owned and there is nothing we can do to help you". I think it's a disgrace that Hyundai doesn't care what these dealers do and won't help the consumer. You would think that they would care a little more since their name is on it. We'll, my husband and I made a decision that we will refinance the car to get a better price on our loan and trade the car in within 1 to 3 years. Just because I don't want to own the car from a company who doesn't car. We originally was going to trade the car in after we get the title, but we would lose a tremendous amount of money on the car and who can afford that.

When we bought the car they never gave us a second key said it was backlogged still don't have it too stuffy in front seats

Love it. Great on gas. Too a road trip from Indiana to California and got almost 40 miles to the gallon!!! Great trunk space. Navigation is awesome.
