Expensive dissappointment
The first 10,000 miles were a pleasure, then the ride changed, felt like riding in a boat. Began to feel every dip in road with noises and felt like a car with poor suspension. The steering became stiff or jerky, like I was not in control. It no longer feels safe. Ir was checked out by two Hyundai service centers, and it seems if they cant see alerts or alarms on the system then there is nothing to fix. The whole car is electronic so mechanics are clueless since there is nothing signaling a problem. We notice the sway, the erratic acceleration, and the bumps and bounces etc, which a few months ago, on the same roads, the Equus would glide right over smoothly. I have also notice times when the radio/stereo would just cut out and silence. It seems that when i arrive to my destination and restart car, the sound is back. Intermittent on the sound system so I can pin point why it goes silent.

This is a fantastic car for the price. I would buy
I bought this car in 2013, and it has been the most reliable car. I drove Mercedes cars before, then I read about this car in the car magazines, I thought I should test drive it. After test driving, i fell in love with it. It has been fantastic and I truly love it.

Magnificent luxury car.
I could have bought any luxury car that I wanted. After driving this car I was sold. The German cars are highly over rated and made cheaply. The Equus is amazing.

Glory in Its Anonymity
Much has been made on this site as well as others about the discontinuation of the Equus model, the all-in approach of Hyundai to the Genesis G80 and G90, and with probably good reason. But I bought my 2013 Equus Certified from a local dealer and, after driving it over 4,000 miles in the first 3 months, can unequivocally say it's far nicer than the Genesis, Volvos, Infinitis, and every other car I've owned. While it's a very large and roomy sedan, it is surprisingly agile and features smooth arcing power, a sumptuous interior, transcendent sound system, and is so unique that I'm constantly being quizzed at gas stations what it IS that I'm driving -- and, btw, I've been averaging 22+ mpg in mixed driving, on regular 87 octane gas, while proudly enjoying the anonymity of this excellent luxury sedan. Will soon be navigating my 1st New England winter in this powerful RWD car, though, so promise to update this review after my 1st few storms. With a new set of Nokian WRG3 tires, my go-to on all my vehicles, I predict I'll still be wholly impressed with my Equus and still thrilled to be driving it!
