Outstanding car, incredible value and reliability
Solid solid vehicle. It is well designed, incredibly comfortable and will most definitely age well. I'm so proud to own this Genesis. It has every bell and whistle that I once thought I could never afford, but this car was such a bargain, I'm still stoked that I was able to afford and own it. I don't know what else is there to say other than it is the best vehicle I've ever owned and I've owned quite a few (15 cars in 18 years). Buy this car, you will not regret it.
Looked at Benz, Audi, and BMW.
Went with Genesis because of the price and what you get with the car standard is what you’re going to pay another 10k at least to get on any of the other big name lux brands.
Great Value for the Money
Vehicle handles great. the 900 watt Lexicon Stereo in the Ultimate could use some improvement. it lacks certain bass frequencies. max volume on the usb is very low. i had to use a free software called mp3volumer to raise the sound level. boy did the stereo wake up. goes loud enough to hurt your ears. lacks carplay on the ultimate model. lots of vibration on the highway i assume tires and or rims are the cause. other than that it's a great car
No maintenance cost so far(5th year after purchase
Best power for 6 cylinder sedan. Long extended warranty for power line. High quality music system. Perfect weather control system. No small problems for maintenance.
Very luxurious sedan and very economical !
I love how the lights turn in when you lock up the vehicle plus the mirrors swing out and reflect the emblem on the ground with a light at night. This car is very roomy inside and rides like a dream. Very happy with my Genesis.
Love it so far
I bought a 2015 black 3.8 Genesis with all available options packages less than a week ago. So far it's great. I do wish the rear seats could be folded down, but the biggest complaint I have is that there's no way to install a cargo net in the trunk that will corral bags of groceries, so I'm now having to transport groceries on the back seat floor to keep them from falling over. That complaint aside, I like its acceleration, stability, comfort, features (maybe someday I'll get them all figured out -- there are many), sound system (17 speaker Lexicon), and pretty much everything else about it. And for the money I paid, I don't think I could have gotten a better deal on any other car.
sweet ride
had E350 Mercedes 4trac for 5 years this is by far better value in my opinion more buzzers whistles comparable in all aspects better warranty and less money 3.8 all wheel drive 8 speed
A comfortable, understated cruiser
My wife and I rented this car (in particular, a Genesis 5.0 Ultimate) to use as our drive-away car through Turo. It was a superb car for that, as well as for running errands in the days leading up to the wedding. The Genesis is really roomy on the inside - I'd compare it to a current Toyota Avalon in that way. The cabin feels relatively open, which is helped by the huge panoramic sunroof. All the materials feel expensive, except for some plastics lower in the car. The wood trim in particular looks really good. The car just feels well-built - even the door closing sounds awesome and solid! The model we drove had the 5.0-liter V-8, which is no doubt the best engine for this type of vehicle. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time, and the power delivery was really smooth. It also will shove you back into your seat if you floor it - not a slow car by any means. The car rides really well, too. I barely heard most of the cracks and bumps in the road, save for the really bad ones. The infotainment is basically the same as what you get in Hyundai models, but that's cool by me. It's touch screen and pretty easy to understand. We used the navigation a couple of times with no problem. Overall, I like this car a lot. I could see myself driving this every day no problem thanks to just how quiet and comfortable it is.
Sexiest car I've owned
I think this is a great looking and performing car. I have the base model with standard audio (very acceptable) no moonroof, no seat memory, basically no special options package. I found out after buying the car that the upgraded version has different seats and leather. that is my only complaint about the car is it is very uncomfortable. the driver seat is very hard and unforgiving. I thought the leather and seats would "break in" but no. Also the lack of factory remote start (without a $300 yearly subscription to Hyundai's app) is unfortunate as I live in a northern climate.
German Luxury without the Cost of Ownership
Previous owner of multiple Audi vehicles. I've moved on to the Genesis brand and won't look back. Build quality is exceptional, the Ultimate package (17 speaker Lexicon sound system is the best OEM sound I've ever heard) include a feature set that would cost and additional $30k or more from one of the brands with "cachet". Fantastic vehicle to drive.
