A comfortable, understated cruiser

My wife and I rented this car (in particular, a Genesis 5.0 Ultimate) to use as our drive-away car through Turo. It was a superb car for that, as well as for running errands in the days leading up to the wedding. The Genesis is really roomy on the inside - I'd compare it to a current Toyota Avalon in that way. The cabin feels relatively open, which is helped by the huge panoramic sunroof. All the materials feel expensive, except for some plastics lower in the car. The wood trim in particular looks really good. The car just feels well-built - even the door closing sounds awesome and solid! The model we drove had the 5.0-liter V-8, which is no doubt the best engine for this type of vehicle. It was surprisingly quiet most of the time, and the power delivery was really smooth. It also will shove you back into your seat if you floor it - not a slow car by any means. The car rides really well, too. I barely heard most of the cracks and bumps in the road, save for the really bad ones. The infotainment is basically the same as what you get in Hyundai models, but that's cool by me. It's touch screen and pretty easy to understand. We used the navigation a couple of times with no problem. Overall, I like this car a lot. I could see myself driving this every day no problem thanks to just how quiet and comfortable it is.

Sexiest car I've owned

I think this is a great looking and performing car. I have the base model with standard audio (very acceptable) no moonroof, no seat memory, basically no special options package. I found out after buying the car that the upgraded version has different seats and leather. that is my only complaint about the car is it is very uncomfortable. the driver seat is very hard and unforgiving. I thought the leather and seats would "break in" but no. Also the lack of factory remote start (without a $300 yearly subscription to Hyundai's app) is unfortunate as I live in a northern climate.

German Luxury without the Cost of Ownership

Previous owner of multiple Audi vehicles. I've moved on to the Genesis brand and won't look back. Build quality is exceptional, the Ultimate package (17 speaker Lexicon sound system is the best OEM sound I've ever heard) include a feature set that would cost and additional $30k or more from one of the brands with "cachet". Fantastic vehicle to drive.

Affordable luxury

First year of Genesis redesign. Comfortable and quiet. Lots of power. A few minor recalls. Had the original Korean made tires replaced free with Michelin tires because some customers complained they were noisy. The steering wheel vibration device to keep car in lane was replaced after about 3 yrs. 4 yr bumper to bumper warranty means that the only maintenance costs were oil and filter changes. Otherwise very reliable. Looks like they took the complaints of early customers as later models all have the LED fog lights.

This automobile is well worth the monies!

Handles well for a luxury vehicle, plenty of front & rear leg room. Climate control system is excellent. Performance with the 3.8 liter is more than adequate, no need for the 5.0 liter. All wheel drive seems well balanced in the snow. Interior quality is right up there with the rest of the luxury pack. Manufacturer's warranty is the best in the world. If you are looking for quality and affordability rather than status of a name brand auto, well, this is the car for most people. Really can not find anything to complain about. And the newer models are even better in performance and quality!

Dependable luxury sedan with affordable pricing

This Genesis is AWD and digs itself out of heavy snow yet gets 24mpg in town and 29 Mpg on highway . Driving is precise although a little below similar German imports and the ride is gentlemanly to sports tuned .it also has several self help aids like lane keep assist adaptive Cruze control if you select it auto braking , terrific Stereo sound system in dash touch control and navigation as well as voice control and hands free. All at $&$ less than it?s rivals I have put lots of miles on this car and it still is amazing & comfortable

Hyundai Genesis

This has to be the best car value for the money. The V8 engine has to be the smoothest engine I have ever experienced. Also the interior quality is great!

Best luxury value car used

AWD with luxury interior. Best value for the price. Why buy Subaru with higher insurance rate when you can own luxury for lesser price? Warranty is still live and car runs great

Best Car I've Ever Owned

I drive a lot for my job, so when we were shopping for a new car, we needed something that would handle the mileage, as well as be fun to drive. We did some research and test-drove a couple of cars, but in the end, the Genesis won out because it was impressive in all categories. It's sturdy, safe, fun to drive, and it's a Hyundai so it can handle the miles for sure. I predict that I will be driving this car for many years, and then most likely trade it in for another one. Best car I've ever owned!
