Call Me Impressed!

In my quest to acquire a comfortable yet sporty luxury sedan, I had the opportunity to test drive a number of fine vehicles from BMW (5-series), Infinity (Q50, Q70), Mercedes (E-Class), Cadillac (CTS) and Lexus (ES & GS). Honestly, I hadn't even considered the Genesis make. Well, when I finally had the chance to drive my first Genesis (a pre-owned 2015 Genesis 5.0), I came away smitten by not only it's good looks, extensive tech features, exceptionally comfortable ride, smooth V8 performance & handling?but I couldn't believe the price! Add in the 10yr/100000 warranty and I was sold. I've owned this fine vehicle now for just over two months and driven nearly 1200 miles and simply love it! The build of the Genesis feels so incredibly solid; the interior environment is serene?no matter the speed traveled or road condition, and as others have mentioned, the car has plenty of power in Sport mode to plant you firmly in the seat. I feel 'pampered' every time I drive this car. The 12-Way power ventilated leather driver's seat is one of the most comfortable seats I've encountered. I'm 6'6" and finding seats that can comfortably accommodate my legs AND provide adequate headroom is a real pleasure. The sheer number of safety features (adaptive cruise control & auto-braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane departure warning & correction, front and side air bags), is astounding and on long rides, the vehicle seems to almost drive itself! The Genesis 5.0 is an elegant, feature-laden luxury car that provides not only high-end comfort and safety, but has the performance and power to suitably impress those seeking a thrilling driving experience. One may be able to find a sport/luxury car with more features, more power and perhaps a bit more refinement?but the Genesis has all three of these desirable traits ?and at a substantially lower ticket price.

Best all round car I have ever owned

Loved the first one so much that I bought a second Genesis, only trips to the dealer are for oil changes and winter tire installation. The dealer even hand washes my Hyundai after servicing.

WOW!!!!!

This car hits all points! Very stylish, sleek looking, turns heads all the time. Quiet on the inside, plush, luxurious, classy...oh you want power? Just step on the gas pedal and hang on! The 5.0 is definately worth it!

Incredible luxury sedan for the price!

I was impressed and somewhat surprised by the high ratings this car received by numerous car reviews, even higher than comparable Lexus, Infinity, and Acura vehicles. The excellent look, ride, intuitively designed interior, tech systems - even on the standard model, the power, the mileage. Excellent value, and very fun to drive!

Most reliable car I ever owned

This is the best car for the value period. The amount of luxury, driver and safety tech is exhausting. Lots of leg room and plush cabin

Compare before you buy (option)

The car is good on dependability, style but has major issues with Bluelink, can dial bcc extentions, eont read text, pvhone remote stsrt only works 30% of the time. Value I can buy other luxury cars with lots more options at same price. Genesis has no remote start on key, have issue with trunk opening you just push once it opens, most cars have a safety feature have to push twice and hold down. Paint is cheap, it chips very easy just like Hyundai car paint. Headlights cut off to low in low beam. High beam are great, car needs to be equiped with fog lights, trunk does not have automatic shut. Most luxry cars around same price have all these options standard and more. Having major issues with Bluelink losing Bluetooth connection. I have 91,000 miles now.

Good balance of comfort, performance, features

Really happy with this purchase - car is smooth and comfortable and reasonably fun to drive on challenging roads. Interior ergonomics could be improved with tactile designs, and varied shapes on buttons. Could use some metal accents on switchgear. Could have more bass on stereo, but all these are petty issues. Great car.

Not Luxery Service

This is a near luxury automobile that strives for more than it achieves. The high tech features promise an experience comparable to BMW or Audi but don't perform to the level of a Mazda. For instance, the smart wipers work sporaticly and the the automatic braking system goes haywire in heavy rain. The car can be considered a highway cruiser as its main attribute is the ability to drive smoothly in a straight line. It is not particularly agile in cornering. The interior is pleasant but not up to the class it aspires to. But, by far, its biggest drawback is service. The promise loaner cars are not available, even with an appointment. There is is no special accommodations set up in the Hyundai dealer to make this a luxury car experience. You"ll feel like you bought a $15,000 Hyundai. Bottom line, this is a very nice car, but delude yourself into believing your joining the luxury community.

Great Bang for buck, dont expect luxury service

modern day town car; don't expect more than that. its not sporty, off line acceleration is decent for a 5.0 V8. handling is ok up to 6/10th's maybe 7/10th's past that car does not like to be pushed what so ever. Lots of quirks and bugs
