Compare to ANY luxury car

I drove a Lexus for years and test drove all their larger cars before buying my Genesis. Ride quality and luxury very comparable, at 15 to 20 K less expensive...

So far so good!

I've been looking for a Genesis for a while. Test drove it a few times in a year and finally pulled the trigger last month. The car looks amazing. I find new features periodically (it has a projected Genesis Image in each rear view mirror!) Since I bought it in summer I still don't have any reliable data. I also don't know how it will stand up to a Minnesota Winter. I'll update this review in spring! I will make a recommendation to test drive it in Sport Mode!

Value for dollar 2015 Genesis (now the G80)

Car is great, less performance orientated then I want and or would like. The car is great up to 7/10th's but does not like to be pushed past that. For road trips the car is comfortable and amazing. I do have some gripes as in this segment they got 98% of the car right the lst 2% they need to work on a lot. Most people won't notice but I do.

Silent cabin and butter smooth powertrain

If you can find almost new condition used Genesis 5.0, there aren't any other sedans you can match this vehicle in comfort, performance, value, reliability, and styles! Even new at $55k fully equipped, I can say that this particular V8 model is best mid-large sedan you can buy under $70k. I used to work for several luxury dealerships, and other than top of the line models such as S-class, LS and 7-series, you won't find a similar ride comfort. Hyundai Genesis is perfectly sized sedan which isn't too big nor too small. I was looking for bigger than my previous Infiniti G37, because I needed space for baby seat in the back without moving my passenger seat all the way to the front. My 4 months old son falls asleep looking up through panoramic view of the sky. Sound system is top of the line, as good as Lexicon in Lexus. Ventilated seats keeps me cool without blasting my A/C to max in Georgia heat. Doors shuts with minimal noise and feels heavy and safe. Seat belts snugly thug once I buckle in and give me a sense of safety. All the safety features and radar cruise control and emergency braking might be over doing it for experienced drive, but I do feel better when I drive with my son in the car. Center screen is clear and big, almost 10" with fastest touchscreen response I seen in any vehicle. Having touchscreen and center controller options make it easier for me to input addresses or selecting through millions of options. Vehicle idles so quietly, sometimes I turn off my car after I turned it on and after spending some time checking my phone to avoid using it during my drive. I would buy one again once I get close to 100k miles, this time it would be Genesis whatever model there are coming out with within next 5 years. Hyundai finally made me a believer that they can make luxury cars!

Not a luxury dealer

This is a very capable car, not a luxury car. The thing that sets it apart from the Lexus and BMW is the dealer experience. They will say they have a loaner car, they don't. they will say you get favorable treatment, you don't. If you would like a nice car at a slightly reduced price, but don't care bout coustumer service, this is a good car for you. I would never buy another.

Fun to drive

Very good looking car, and the interior is beautiful at night. It feels like a much heavier car than it is while driving, yet has all of the acceleration that I need.

luxury care with bottom dollar dealer

This would be a good, not great, high end luxury car if not for the dealer service. No loaner car, long waits at service. you can spend upwards of $50k on these cars, but, you may as well buy a $15k Hyundai. The service will be the same.

Love This Car!

I've been driving my 2015 Hyundai Genesis 5.0 sedan for about 15 months and still say to myself "gosh I love this car." The quality, serenity, comfort, and power are unbelievable. I'm averaging 20 mpg which is okay since I run on regular gas which averages 60 cents less than premium required by most competitors

This car is stylish, comfortable, and FUN to drive. I am finding reasons to drive somewhere! For the price, it is unbelievable that the car is a complete luxury car.
