The Nicest SUV I've owned
Traded my Infiniti QX60 for the Palisade and have not looked back! Wonderful features, quality and luxury for the price. High end SUV's should be concerned. Far superior to my Suburban, Explorer and MDX
An Unbelievable, Quality Luxury SUV
I traded a Mercedes-Benz ML350 for the Palisade, which is so far superior that it should make M-B and other luxury car-makers stop and find out why. This Limited model gets great mileage on the highway and in town, is powerful and responsive and is extremely comfortable. I just completed my second of two road trips from Montana to Phoenix, AZ pulling a 6'x12' fully loaded cargo trailer 1/2 the distance each time. While gas mileage was affected a bit, the car never strained even even while the A/C was running in 100F+ and remained totally under control. Built-in self leveling and sway control certainly contributed to that and its braking ability under load is impressive. The Limited model model comes completely loaded. It's pre-wired for a hitch but comes without a hitch which I had to add. At night the cockpit instruments and controls are impressively lighted and it resembles a 747 in that regard!!! I cannot say enough great things about this SUV. Well done Hyundai. I don't know how they did it. And the price was very reasonable when matched against comparable SUV's such as the M-B, Explorer, Lexus etc. I chose it over the Kia Telluride, it's sister vehicle, because of several features not found there and because dealers were charging $4,000+ over MSRP for the Kia; made absolutely no sense for me. After 9,600 miles, 7,000 of which were on grueling road trips, I'm totally impressed and satisfied.
SERIOUS TRANSMISSION ISSUE FIRST DAY OF OWNERSHIP
Trans leak on first day. Hyundai said they will replace with new trans. Taking a couple of weeks so far for new trans. Very frustrating. Will always be concerned about this vehicle. Not a good feeling
So far so good!
I loved the Palisade the moment I sat in it for my initial test drive. My family felt embraced by the car, and the great drive only served to reinforce this. We had considered & drove a few other possibilities, but the Palisade, while being a little larger than we had wanted (its predecessor was a 2004 Mazda MPV), it had far more of the checkmarks than the other options. We've only had it for 6 weeks. Gas mileage is a little heavy (between 9 1/2 & 10 km p/liter in mixed driving) but it's to be expected for a car this size. I have a road trip pending & will monitor the gas consumption. But I look fwd to the journey in my Palisade. Premature to comment on reliability, but I do hope to keep it for some 12 years. I am grateful for the engine-off feature while stationary with the engine on. I would really have appreciated a cylinder deactivation feature while cruising which enhances gas economy. The technology is there & other brands have this. So WHY NOT!! So much is automated in the vehicle so I hope this all lasts for the duration of ownership. I would have been happy with a pulley system to flatten the rear seats (As per the Teluride) & I fear the cost of repair should these break! I look forward to a long term relationship with my new vehicle! So far so good!
All you would want from a car in 2020
Interior and exterior design is perfect, all options from BMW, Benz, Mazda amd other cars are in one place on this huge american size SUV.
Nicest vehicle i have ever owned.
This car is perfect for me. Seating for 7 with multiple power sources. Great mileage and extreme comfort. i highly reccommend this vehicle to everyone that will listen.
Heated seats don't work
The dealer and Hyundai should be ashamed of themselves. Specifically bought a car with heated seats for back problems. Noticed on first day we had it they didn't heat up, they said we were right but there was nothing they could do and basically too bad. When I pay for this option and it doesn't work, fix it. But they said they don't know how. Mad beyond words.
Striking in appearance
This car has a nice clean sharp appearance and not an ugly grill like Lexus. It does have plenty of room with plenty of extras. The seats adjust multiple ways for comfortable longer rides. So far, I love driving the quiet but also responsive Palisade.
This car met all my needs and expectations. It has plenty of leg room in the front and back. We love the quality and amenities of our vehicle, interior and exterior very classy.
The car is great except it smells like garlic. I'm sure it is a chemical used and I'm not sure it is healthy. There is no solution to get rid of it. A lot of owners have the same complaint
