Dangerous action that could cause an accident

I love the santa cruz but after experiencing an alert telling me to stop immediately due to transmission oil leak and dropping my speed to 15 mph the 10 and almost getting rear ended and crawling to where I could pull over and having it towed to the dealership. Three days later I was told they reset the engine and warned me it could happen more times. He also said if to does they'll buy it back as used meaning I will the different between what I paid and what they get

Hyundai Santa Cruz

Took trip to Atlantic Beach. 360 miles. 28.7 mpg. Very comfortable. Easy to get in and out for a 71 yr old man. Truck bed large enough for my needs.

Transmission issue and recall.

I wouldn’t buy one right now they have a transmission recall where they don’t have any procedure for the dealers to follow. Hyundai says they are working on a fix. But they are dangerous to drive until the transmissions are fixed

Santa Cruz @ 201

We purchased our Head-Turner in 8/2021. Loved being the first to show this baby off. Love the lights and how it looks at night. No major complaints. Wish we could take SC-101 to learn how to use all the features... Still can't remember all we were told on the test drive. It does use more gas than our pilot! We have had many to ask can they look inside and end up asking so many questions! Love being able to bring all my items home when out shopping and not having to fit them in the car. Love the automatic Bright Light feature. This truck forces us to keep up with technology for sure. Love ours Head-Turner!

Small truck that beats the old Toyota Tacoma.

Love the Santa Cruz. It is enough of a truck to haul small loads, but rides very smooth. Much better than my old Toyota Tacoma.

18k later absolutely love it

I originally ordered Maverick hybrid with fwd. but after waiting over 6 months I decided to buy the Santa Cruz last November. I absolutely love it - it’s comfortable, handles well, the bed is really useful and the gas mileage is pretty good. I have the SEL with activity package and non turbo. It handles exceptionally well in all kinds of weather. Despite most reviews who said non turbo is underpowered I have no complaints with the motor although I have not towed anything. I have 18k on it so far and there is no way I would give this up for a Maverick at this point.

Hyundai Santa Cruz Functionally meets style

Love the new Santa Cruz. Great style, exterior and interior. Wonderfully functional and versatile. Drives like a crossover and great for getting on trail too.

Extra’s not worth it

The car is overall very nice. However the radio, climate control, and volumes automatically reset 90% of the time. Have to reset all controls every time you drive. Silence mode continually pops up on screen and try’s to engage. At night switch’s climate controls from whatever you have it set on to defrost and fogs windows up. Back and forth all night if night driving. Radio is weak. Can barely hear with windows down. The is one of the best driving ones I’ve ever had, but the extras don’t work well. Who wants to pay 40k for a more luxury package and it doesn’t work well and is down right aggravating. Therefore I wouldn’t recommend anything over base model.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL 2.0L

OK, so as a retired old timer, I tend to buy vehicles from the inside out. Comfort and ease of use are far more important to me than swoopy stylish exteriors. But it’s still fun to have people walk up and ask “What the heck is that? It’s a really sharp and unique vehicle! I own a full size gas guzzling pick up so my interest in the Santa Cruz had little to do with hauling or towing. What I needed was an AWD vehicle that I didn’t need to worry about dirtying up a carpeted cargo area. The Santa Cruz delivered in spades! Truck? Car? SUV, SAV? Who cares! This little buggy is the perfect solution for a vehicle made for northern Minnesota winters (Especially if you have a long steep driveway)! We’ve only had ours for a month but so far we love it! 30mpg is our normal. But almost all of our driving is open road. A recent 300 mile day trip confirmed that the seats are comfortable and well padded. The audio system is adequate but my hearing is shot anyway! I gave the review three stars for reliability because we haven’t owned it long enough to know how it will stand up.

Loving my suv/truck

I am an avid SUV driver and needed a vehicle to pull my camper. This “truck” drives like an SUV, but I have plenty of storage to take all my camping gear. I just got back from a road trip and I got 26 miles per gallon. I love it!!
