Love the car
This car got me through many years of commuting without any major issues. Looks good and runs good for an awesome price, and the gas mileage is incredible!
Takes a Little Fixing
But then it works great. If you are looking at a high mileage one... make sure the firmware has been updated to the 2013 version and have the transmission looked at. Once the firmware is updated the car is beautiful and runs like a doll... but.. if it hasn?t been, it will chew up the transmission and be jerky between gears. Basically it?s great, just make sure it?s been taken care of and updated so you don?t unknowingly destroy your transmission
Fun to Drive, ECO Friendly and Classy
Sleek, fun to drive car that is extremely fuel efficient, safe and reliable. Car automatically trains you to drive efficiently with immediate feedback. Lots of legroom in the back.
Great experience with a hybrid vehicle.
Just a really nice car. Hyundai is. It a brand I would normally consider as I am of the Lexus and BMW ilk but this is a great car. Gas mileage is excellent and maintenance costs have been extremely low as nothing has gone wrong in my 3 years of ownership. Great looking exterior- sleek and surprisingly powerful-looking. As in most hybrids the sluggish pickup was an adjustment but overall a good concession to my savings at the pump.
Most fuel efficient car i've ever ownwed
This car meet all my needs, since my work commute is 45 miles each way. It is very reliable and much of the extras in other cars of its kind are standard in the hyundai.
Most reliable car I've ever owned.
I loved owning this care. It's comfortable and fun. I have had 0 mechanical issues and it has been just a super car. I wouldn't sell it except I bought a new on and don't want 2 payments. ( was going to keep it as a second vehicle but changed my mind)
We bought our car brand new and have over 75k on it now. The mileage has been great and for the most part the car is very comfortable to drive and ride in. There are a couple of things that would make it better. 1. the 3rd person in the back seat has to set on a hump and they usually find this very uncomfortable, thus making our 5 passenger car fit for only 4. 2. there are no cup holders in the back seat if you have 5 passengers cause the cup holder is in the drop down center console. 3. the cup holders in the front are not user friendly for bigger drinks. They interfere with the gear shift and the other drink. 4. You can not charge your cell phone if the car isn't running. 5. the inner fenders will not stay in place, and they rattle all the time. Other than these items we love our car.
2011 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid-No spare tire
One evening I had a flat tire and called my insurance company which sent out a service vehicle to repair my tire. Since the tire did not hold air and server person got into the trunk of my car only to find I did not have a spare tire. No one told me when I bought my car that a spare tire did not come with the car. I then had to call a tow truck to take my car to a tire store, but all stores were closed in the evening. I was not only out of a useful vehicle but had to pay for a tow and a new tire. I have never had a car that didn't come with a donut spare tire. I call the dealer to tell them I need to come and pick up the spare that was missing from my car. I was told they do not put spare tires in this car and I would have to get a spare from a tire shop. I have now called 3 tire stores and none of them carry a spare donut for the vehicle. They said I would have to get it from the dealer. And the dealer does not have it either. I guess I'm SOL.
Hyundai is cheap
Purchased the car in 2011. The car did not come with a spare tire,it came with a can of flat fix.We are going on a long trip and i wanted a spare tire. Called Hyundai the tire was $90.00 and the spare tire kit was $140.00.Wedid not want the kit being we have AAA and Hyundai road service. However we must buy the kit because it includes the rim for the spare tire. How low can Hyundai go. The tire and the wheel should be sold together not seperate. To add insult the dealer said it will charge me $20.00 to mount the tire and install it in the trunk.SHAME ON HYUNDAI!!!!!!
PEOPLE WHO DON'T LILKE THIS CAR HAVE A LOT TO LEARN. WE DROVE OUR SONATA FROM EL PASO TO LAS VEGAS ON ONE TANK OF GAS! IF THAT IS NOT GOOD MILEAGE, I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS. THE RIDE IS COMPORTABLE AND THE STYLING IS HEAD TURNING. JUST DRIVING INTO A GAS STATION HAS PEOPLE ASKING ME WHAT KIND OF CAR IT IS. THEY ASKED ME IF IT WAS A LEXUS, I ANSWERED NO, IT'S BETTER. I HIGHLY RECOMENT THIS CAR.
