Great Car!

I have owned my Hyundai Tiburon for 5 years and don't plan on selling it. It is beautiful, comfortable, reliable, great warranty benefits! I never had a problem with it, runs like new, and very fun to drive!

104500 miles and still counting.... GT V6

Bought this car in November of 07. 1 radiator hose, 100k 2 batteries 1 set of front brake pads 100k 1 set of rear brake pads 70k 1 seat belt latch 5k 2 sets of tires ~40k each 1 set of plug wires 75k 1 set of spark plugs 75k 1 timing belt 80k 1 fuel cap cover 80k 1 steering wheel 55k Rims 80k lower control arm bushings 100k 1 throttle position sensor 10k The spoiler is faded but thats not unusual for a black car in Arizona. The drivers seat cover is worn from where I get in. Most of the parts except for the lower control arm bushings are regular maintainance items... I hit a pot hole and bent a rim. I'm guessing that I damaged a lower control arm bushing when that happened. It's been a good car that gets pretty good gas milage and is fun to drive. It's a little noisey on the open road but I didn't buy a sports car for comfort. I'd buy another one... just not black. I plan on driving it for about another year or until I reach 150k miles

I should have done my homework...

I've had my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon GTV6 since May 2005. While it has been reliable i had to give it two stars due to paint fading on my spoiler, gas cap, and "gills"...a faulty sunroof that has broken twice on me already, i've had two headlights replaced due to condensation, the clear coat is peeling off my head lights now aswell, i've had two leaks coming from the radiator due to cheap quality clamps. And while yes, you do get a 100,000 mi warranty i'm only at 40,000 miles and they are refusing to cover any of those problems under the warranty. Last time my dealership said they wouldnt fix my sunroof due to having an aftermarket exhauset. good luck with your local dealership. I know that because of the dealership down here i would never buy another hyundai. i do get plenty of compliments on the looks of the car. however, i am dissapointed by the performance aspect of the car. A 2.7 V6 that gets about 150hp to the wheels is horrible. And good luck getting 19mpg city. My dad's 2007 V-8 GMC Sierra gets better gas mileage than my car.

"Great handling, great value, great sporty car"

Great in the curves. Has a really super passing gear at a 30 mile an hour kickdown. I have driven the car 28,000 miles, about 3,000 miles on a trip...NO PROBLEMS! Has never been in for service except for oil change every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. Has a 6 speaker stereo system that will blow your socks off in the small cabin. Only complaint is that outside edge of leather bucket seats (passenger as well as driver side) is wearing from getting into the car. I have to position seat all the way back before exiting the vehicle to avoid coming in contact with seat when getting back in. Broke one of the rear seat belt retainers when folding seat backs down. The plastics retainers should be replaced with metal retainers. Lots of compliments on the looks of the car. Would love to see a larger power plant in future vehicle.

Great Vehicle

The Tiburon GT is a great vehicle. This is my second Hyundai, my first was the 1995 Elantra. The Tiburon has a sporty look that definitely turns heads. The gas milage is outstanding, I recently took a road trip and averaged about 33 mpg. The get up and go from the six cylinder is awsome. Some things to watch out for - there are some blind spots be very careful switching lanes and I do miss having a back seat that can actually be used, however, cargo space is not a problem - I can do a major grocery shopping and not have to worry about space. Hyundai has a winner!
