I love this SUV!!

We bought this SUV in June 2007. We previously owned a 2003 high top conversion van and downsized to a Veracruz. Amazingly, the Veracruz is very roomy, comfortable for long trips. Back seats recline and the third row seating is as roomy as the second row. Handling is great and a pleasure to drive. Many people think it is a Lexus rx350. We actually test drove a Lexus before purchasing our Veracruz and was similar in features and handling but a lot more expensive!! The five star safety rating, airbags and great price won us over. We also extended our warranty to 10 yr 100,000. mile bumper to bumper making this an outstanding value that cannot be beat. As a first time Hyundai buyer I am pleasantly surprized at the quality of this vehicle and will probably purchase again from Hyundai for my son when looking for a car for him. Test drive a Veracruz and you will be hooked!

The Best Bang for your Buck!

I went in to test drive this vehicle and fell in love with it. I handles very well and is extrememly quiet on the highway. The features that are available at this pricepoint made it a no-brainer for me. The 10 year/100,000 mile warranty doesn't hurt either. I highly recommend this vehicle if you want the look and luxury of the other models without the lofty pricetag!

Most pricey Hyundai and worth ever penny

We drove everything, Mazda CX9, GMC's Arcadia, the new Buick, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and Ford crossovers and felt the overall package offered from Korea was hands down the best choice. Not the prettiest, not the fastest and certainly no WOW factor in the driveway, but honestly the most car for the money. The Limited Veracruz from Hyundai is an wonderful value. Standard features like tri-way air, heated seats and both power, ease of access to 3rd row ( GMC study this), XM radio, electronic tailgate, more airbags than you can count, stability control, finger tip control on steering, a conversation mirror ( wife likes that), rear backup sensors ( std. on Limited), High Intensity Head Lights, 100,000 mile power train warranty and too much more to list here. Ergonomics are good, well thought out and easy to operate. It is the class of the new crossover class.

Pleasure to drive

Brought home my GLS base FWD 6/10 in a thunder storm. It handles beautifully, tight turns soft, quite ride. After driving my 1993 Volvo240 station wagon for 14 yrs/114.000mi I feel like I'm in the lap of luxury. I drive all day for work locally and the comfort is great : armrests, cup holders, seating, audio controls on steering, nice sound system. Great 3rd row seat/cargo space flexibility for family trips well worth the jump up from an optioned Sante Fe to base Veracruz, a few extra inches all around make all the difference. An excellent value, good expected reliability and decent MPG, nice styling. Beats the competition hands down for the value.

By far the best Car I've Owned

The Veracruz ride is excellent. It handles like a luxury vehicle and very comfortable. The Interior features are by far superior than any vehicle in it's class. Great sound system. I'm constantly getting compliments for it's looks.

awesome for the money

recently purchased a Veracruz. Stylin inside and all the seats fold down for easy packing and the truck holds alot. Took it to Florida and it did really well on gas also. Comfort level was way more than expected and interior design was a killer also we had a sunroof installed. I love the third row seating and the leg room is incredable. we now have a car that can accomidate all of us. I recommend taking one out for a test ride it totaly exceeded our expectiations. and the price was excellent..... you have to just go try it.

Outstanding Vehicle!!!

It is May 1st, 2007 and I have just made may my Veracruz purchase. This vehicle is outstanding! I have read all the cons concerning the Veracruz and frankly, I do not understand anyones complaints. Quite a bit of car for the money... I personally believe this car to be better looking than its Lexus competitor. In fact, I never thought the Lexus RX to be a particular beautiful automobile. Its styling has always been a bit porky. The Veracruz offers just as much and is much sleaker in style. Performance is greater, with better acceleration, when using the clutch free 6 speed manual transmission! My Veracruz has both manual and automatic! Wow! I am up to 18 miles per gallon, city driving. Just 24 hours old. Expect better when broken in.

Best Hyundai Yet

Between my wife and I we have owned 2 Elantra's, a Tiburon and 2 Santa Fes. The Veracruz is by far Hyundai's best effort to date. I purchased a base Limited (no add-on packages) and am very happy with the vehicle after 1 week. Ride quality is smooth and very quiet. Transmission shifts are barely noticable. Hyundai did an excellent job at isolating engine noise. The seats are very comfortable. The stereo system is excellent with XM free for 3 months. And a bumper to bumper/powertrain warranty unmatched by any competitor. I went to the dealer looking to purchase a new 2007 Santa Fe, but after comparing the 2 had to take home the Veracruz...more money, but definitely worth it.
