Not worth the money!
I have wanted a g35 sport with manual transmittion for years. The new body style was the deciding factor. Purchased my G 9 months ago new, and can not tell you how many times I've had in in for service. My inital complaint was the feel of jerking when I let my foot of the gas while being in gear. I was advised to ride the rpm higher due to the computer senser. Never the less, I have been living with this very uncomfortable jerking since. In addition to this, the leather seat became unattached, the trunk release button fell into dash when pushed, my dashboard below the climate control is seperating, and I find the interior space difficult for shorter people. Due to my 5' height, I must have the seat pushed forward for the clutch. Due to the moonroof positioning, I hit my head quite a bit. Cup holder way too far for driver to reach, especially with a six speed. My dealer continues to fix the problems, but again, I did not expect this from infinity.

Great Sports Sedan!!
Traded my 2003 G35 for the '07 Journey. Got mine fully loaded. Acceleration is great and the handling is excellant. Love the looks. The interior is much improved, only I wish there was more storage space. The Lexus IS350 has the same HP but gets better gas milage as does the BMW 330i. WHY?

This is the greatest car I will ever own
The 2007 Infiniti G35x is a stunning machine. Loaded with great valued features and with stunning performance, it is the ultimate car in practicality. It is great in the winter, and on dry surfaces too. There is a brillinat exhaust note that you feel in your gut past 5500 rpms that is addicting. Drive one and you'll see why...

Bang for the Buck
Compared this car with BMW 330i, lexus IS350, Acura TL. None of them give you as much for the money in terms of features and performance. If you are not into "badges", this car will give everything the others will for thousands less

Best Bang for the Buck
I have to say that I am a stickler when it comes to cars. I want alot without paying for it! I have had the "G" for more than a month, and I still have a smile on my face when I start her up. Ride is great and the sound system is terrific. Performance is awsome, but gets a little thirsty when pushing hard. I am very impressed with the "G".

For people who love to drive!
I bought the 2007 G35 in February. after considering the Acura TL and the Lexus I350. Driving the G35 is exciting and fun, with power to spare and incredible steering and road-holding performance---it is soooo tempting to drive too fast! The exterior stying makes it look like it is moving when it is parked, and it can't be mistaken for any other car. The interior is beautiful, quiet and comfortable, and the Bose sound system is incredible. (The only problem is the location of the driver's seat controls, but that's not much.) I have driven American muscle cars and quick little roadsters, but this car is the most fun ever.

Could have been better
Went from a 2002 BMW 330 to a 07 G35S. First off, gas mileage has not been where it says it's rated. No matter what I do I can not get over 22mpg and I drive all highway miles, yes I'm fully aware that I went from a 220hp car to a 306hp car but the gas mileage should be better than what I'm getting. It does go very fast, however, if you stomp on the gas it thinks about what you want it to do, then thinks about what gear you want, then chooses that gear and then it rockets to speed...sometimes that hesitation can get you in trouble if you wanted it to rocket right away, I've noticed that if you use the paddles to downshift twice instead of letting the computer/transmission decide it will eliminate that hesitation. I've also noticed that the RPMs will go up almost 600rpms instantly just by barely pushing the gas though the car goes nowhere, even does it manually choosing a gear with the paddles, as soon as you let off the gas they go back down. Not sure what that deal is but it's annoying, no car should go up that much without showing a response. The driver side headlight stopped moving with the steering wheel, have yet to get that fixed. Passenger side still works though. Bluetooth works really well though some phones will not transfer their address book, check to make sure yours will. Navigation is very good, as well as the voice guidance. POI interests are a little quirky meaning it only shows one page of what's near and that's it. Handling equals that of my BMW. In all, I do like the car but am disappointed in these things but that is my opinion, your mileage may vary.

Another Winner!
I just traded in my '04 G35 for the "NEW G". I loved my old car, but this one is special. I got a black Sport model, and it looks and performs like a 'road rocket'. My teenage sons drool about the performance and features, and my wife thinks the exterior lines are sexy. I'm a person who researches everything, and there simply is no better buy on the market for an upscale sports sedan. I love this car...it is awesome looking...inside and out. If you are in the market for a performance sports sedan, don't pass up this car.

wolf in sheep's clothing
The 2007 G35x does NOT have an 18" rim option package, although the dealer will sell you oem Infiniti rims (from the G35S) for more than US$1,000 EACH... no, I am not joking....!! The 2007 G35x does NOT have a manual transmission option but the automatic gearbox has sport mode and a "Tiptronic" style manual selection. I went from a 2006 Z with some modifications (including the Motorodyne and all the Nismo upgrades) the G35x is faster or feels faster, at least. The G35x was a comfort/performance trade-off and I wasn't hugely excited by it, to be candid, when I bought it. After nearly a month of ownership, I actually enjoy driving again. Discipline with the right foot is necessary to keep the revs down during the break-in period (even though the dealership stated there was no break-in period necessary..?). Niggles... well, the gas mileage is not too good , I will know more after a couple of longer runs, rather than "stop and go" traffic. The leather seating is not full leather, just the contact areas... which I thought was a bit cheap of Infiniti; since they proclaim this to be a luxury vehicle. A bit plasticky in parts, like the Z, but well designed. The controls take some patience to learn but everything is well situated. Will write an update in a few months...

Perfect choice when going from a full size SUV
I purchased a new G35x in late April from owning a 2003 Cadillac Escalade. While I was signing my truck away, I was thinking "what am I doing!!!", but three weeks later and I am still loving this car. I haven't been able to rev it up high since I believe in "break-in" periods. The suspension is immaculate. I feel like I'm on rails and when I do get the itch to tap the accelerator, I'm gone faster than any TL, RL, and 530i. I'm about 5'11" and have no problems getting in and out of the G35. Having custom sound systems in my previous vehicles, the Bose sound system is pretty good. Trunk space could have been better, but ultimately, this is a sports sedan. My recomendation: If youre looking for a car that offers interior toys like Acura, with the power of an M3, then get this car. You won't be dissapointed.
