Unreliable six-cylinder engine

Purchased at 31000 miles Very well in appearance & Design I have had two of these now and have had to replace the six cylinder Motors in both at about 150000 miles from rod knock and bearing knock do not buy the 6-cylinder engine you will have to replace it. I maintained it well and did oil changes at approximately three thousand miles and still no luck

Very Solid Truck

Meets all the needs for simple offroading and hauling. It uses so much gas though. Not recommended for commuting. I would recoomend it to anyone looking for a vehicle to take to the beach or on trips in the mountains.

Stay away

I don't know where to begin. Everything started breaking after 70000 miles. Automatic windows, fan regulator, it stuck in 4 wheel after changing back to 2 wheel. radiator fan regulator again and then a third time and i know that the previous owner changed it at least once then the catalytic converter went out then 2 oxygen censers. Just stay away!

Great quality jeep with all the extras

Met all of my needs for commuting to school and work and around town. Better quality jeep for how old it is, exterior and interior still look newer with minor repairs done recently. Brand new battery and fuel pump, has commuted 3+ hours and back and done great. This was my first car and couldn't have been happier with it. Comfortable leather seats and working radio. Aux cord box installed.

126000 miles and going strong.

I bought this SUV 2 weeks ago for a very good price. 126000 Mi body still look good though there was the expected wear and tear. Had to replace a brake line and crankshaft position sensor right away. Once that was done car was in perfect running shape! Finding that a lot of the small repairs that are needed are pretty simple. Small vacuum hose under the battery needs to be replaced to get the cruise control working again, replacing the struts on the tailgate window Will take about 10 minutes and cost 15 bucks etc etc. Really great truck for the money. The only drawback is that my 4 liter inline 6 is guzzling gas like a plebe at a kegger.

Solid, classic, all-around sport-utility

The Grand Cherokee tradition goes back a long way and together with it's sibling Cherokee, defined the genre. It was the first - and still teh best as each generation has only gotten better. This particular vehicle was purchased new and has been like a member of the family since. Solid, reliable performance with plenty of power and very classic Jeep look to it. WIth All- Wheel Quadra Drive and it's spectacular in snow, and is a comfortable all 'rounder. The reliability has been great, but I only gave it 4 stars, because while the front brakes perform well, the rotors were a little undersized and tend to warp, necessitating replacement sooner than in subsequent generations.

Great Vehicle, Had it for 17 years

Bought it new, great vehicle. Only real issues were caliper and brakes. The technology was great in its day.
