Better Than All The Rest!!!
I have a 5.7 Grand Cherokee fully optioned. This is the most over looked SUV available. This is my second Grand Cherokee and it is the best car/truck I have ever owned. Equal to the Range Rover in every way for half the price! Rides like a car, but is fully off road capable. Good interior ergonomics with a more comfortable ride and better option packages than all of its competitions. The only reason this vehicle doesn't get all 5's from me is the back seat? too short for adults to be comfortable. Everything else is great. Watch for year end deals!!!

Second half of my review with the short comings
Short comings are: 1. It should offer power tilt and tele, for the steering wheel. It is hard to get it just right for a picky person like me with just manual tilt. 2. Driver foot space is a bit limited. Also my right knee is a bit too close to the ignition. Twice now I have lifted my leg while in cruise to stretch my leg and hit the ignition key and turned the car off while going down the road. Just turn it back on if this happens to you. 3. The back hatch seems to be very slow to open, it needs to pop open faster and cleaner. Also it needs a button on the key fob that pops open the whole back hatch not just the window as it does now. 4. There should be an arm rest attached to the drivers seat on the right side instead of just having to rest your arm on the console. The window sill of the door is a bit too high and the console a bit too low to rest both elbows evenly and comfortably. I had to work at finding a comfortable driving position, but have now done so, but it took awhile. This was the hardest thing to get used to about this new vehicle. 5. Interior heigth and head room is a bit compromised. A taller person say 6 foot or taller might not feel comfortable in the drivers seat. I'm 5'10" and it is fine for me but I have to watch it when I get in and out that I don't bump my head on the door sill. Still I love this vehicle for all that it is and all the technology that is in it, I'm a gadget guy, and for the ride and performance it offers. Great vehicle, I shopped for months to find just the right vehicle and I'm sure I did....

My new 2007 Overland
I've owned corvettes, jags, BMW's, many jeeps, Chevy Avalanche, Toyota Highlander, Lexus RX 330, Acura, Land Rover Discovery (I really like that one, still have it), and a bunch of foreign sports cars and lots of trophys from car shows. I tell you this so you can see I'm an experienced auto enthusiest. This 2007 Grand Cherokee Limited Overland is the finest automobile I've ever owned. It is not without fault, but all in all I'm very impressed with it. Especially with the amount of technology that has gone into it. I've put about 1000 miles on it now in northern Illlinois in the winter driving city and country roads. Up until now the best car I've ever owned was a C5 corvette, the ride and handling and the comfort was the best. This 07 Overland beats it!! Plus I get a vehicle that feels like it could climb straight up a wall. It is so quiet and comfortable and sure footed. I put 150 miles on it yesterday in a icy winter mix of weather and I swear, I never felt the tires skid or spin once. I even tried to spin them on a hill at an intersection out in the country and all I did was shoot across the road with powerful traction. Speaking of powerful, this hemi with 330 hp. is more than I need for sure. I was very suprised at how much power it has. My old C5 Vette would beat it but not by much, this thing jumps out and roars when you punch it. I love all the technology, the wipers come on when they are needed, the lights dim when they need to, the sat. radio system and Boston equip. give me the best sounding radio I've ever had in a car. It is awsome. Crystal clear sound. Never had anything like it in any other car. Not only does it have the back up camera but the rear park sensors too that beep when you get too close to something. Heated seats, auto temp. control, 6 way adjust drivers seat, not passanger, and all the usual other ammenities are in this vehicle. It has it all. But there are a few things that could make it better.

10th Jeep Purchase
Superior exterior and interior styling--best seats in its class with multiple adjustment features--Model has Hemi which is smooth, fast with great towing power--NAV Sirrius rear back up safety feature-adjustable pedals and super information center make this a pleasure to drive-The NAV is superior to others I tested and the ride and handling are much better than average--Overall a classy and yet practical vehicle-Jeep continues to refine the Grand Cherokee Limited and this year's is a tribute to their engineering skill-would gladly recommend it for all these reasons and its great safety amenities.
