Best Car I've purchased

This car was a huge upgrade from my Laredo version and I am thrilled with it. I am loving all of the extra options I have on this vehicle and my daughter is loving the sunroof and heated rear seats!

Best car I've ever owned

A little about my car ownership experience: I've owned Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, Lexus, Mazda, and Hummers. When I was looking for another SUV, I wanted one that rides comfortable, but still has 4x4 capability. If you know anything about SUVs, there is no such thing.. It's either get an crossover that's comfortable and has limited to no off-road capability, or get a 4x4 SUV that is bumpy. Well... that is until I actually had a chance to rent a Jeep GC for a 3-day weekend. Jeep has done it: put luxury, comfort, and off-road capability into one chassis. Before settling on my Jeep, I test drove a '15 Toyota 4runner and found the ride to be bumpy (like all other 4x4s). In addition, the interior were made of cheap plastics - unacceptable for a $35k+ used car.. I also test drove the Ford Explorer, and while it rode better than the GC, it lacked off-road capability and the interior just wasn't as nice as the GC. Then came the research and review portion. Everywhere I read on the internet, it was filled with complaints about GC: from transmission problems, electrical, water pump, and etc.... After all the complaint though, the trend became clear, Jeep fixed everything! And once the bugs were fixed, anyone who bothered to write a follow up review, was rather happy with their GC (of course, most did not bother to write a follow-up review once their GC was fixed). With all the complaint about the electric shifter, it is one of my favorite feature of this vehicle, and it's a shame that it is no longer offered pass the 2015 model; it shifts fast and smooth - just keep an eye on your PRNDS to make sure that you do have it in parked (which is something that you should be doing anyways with a conventional shifter). Now to the most important part: MPG! I drive mostly city and I am averaging 20mpg. Of course, that is going to vary based on what kind of city you live in. If you live in a small city where traffic doesn't cause you to do stop and go every 100m and you don't drive it like a race car, then you'll get what I get. If you live in LA or NYC, then you'll probably see around 15mpg or below. I have done long distance trips and have seen anywhere between 26-28mph. You take that into consideration that it is a 4x4 with the structure built to go off-road and it is quite a fuel efficient vehicle (my hummer H3, which is a vehicle of equivalent size did 20mpg best on highway) - it's in the same fuel efficiency as a large 4-door vehicle sans hybrid technology. The most important part about buying one of these is, if you don't want to deal with the new car bugs, then don't buy a new car.. or buy one with less technology in it. if you buy a new car with as much technology as this thing has, then expect that during the first 5k miles, you will be making plenty of trips to the dealership. Don't believe me? Ask any Mercedes or BMW owner.. There's a reason why their dealerships' waiting rooms are some of the most plush in the market. If you do decide to bypass the new car nuance and buy a used, then either buy CPO or make sure all of the recalls are completed when you buy it. If you do decide to buy CPO, then consider FCA's maxcare warranty. These vehicles will still cost you near $30k for a decently equipped CPO GC; a maxcare warranty is only $3200 more, which if you add on to your monthly payment, would equate to only $10-20 more a month. In every vehicle that I've owned, it's not a matter of "if something will need repairing," it's "when something will need repairing." To put into perspective, my Hummer H3 needed to have both front wheel hub assemblies replaced (components which are covered by FCA's maxcare warranty) - the cost? $2k... Then the keyless entry computer went out - the cost? $600. My Lexus suffered a complete head gasket failure - the cost? $3500... All of this would've cost me $100 deductible with the FCA maxcare - of course, only FCA offers such a plan though. If you plan on keeping your GC for the years to come, then it may be worth it. And if anything, it will give you the peace of mind for as long as you own the vehicle (as it did with me, since this is my first ever Chrysler vehicle), until the odometer reads 999,999, or until its value is equal or less to what you paid for the warranty. Don't listen to the negative reviews, these vehicles are a dream to drive and a pleasure to own. If I were to ever total my GC, I would not hesitate to buy another.

My First Car!!And I'm in Love!

I purchased my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 2015 September 7th of 2017 it was a certified pre owned vehicle. My sales guy Louis Bontempo at Town and Country Jeep was very helpful and attentive as this was my first car and I was unsure of what to get and the questions to ask. He was always available and made comfortable in knowing that thus was a great buy! Let's talk about the interior of the jeep it's beautiful!!! Even better than a Benz! It very very comfortable and spacious, the exterior speaks for itself go jeep and you won't go wrong!
