Great car, but the gas mileage is terrible

I leased this jeep for two years and am thinking about buying it. The ride is pretty smooth for a jeep and it is a tank in the snow and ice! I only have two complaints, the seats are hard and too short, and the city gas mileage in the jeep is horrible. I am lucky if I get 15 mpg in the city.

Love my Jeep, but having problems

This is the third SUV and second Jeep I have owned, and while it is really fun to drive, it has been in the shop five times in the past year, all for repairs that should not be needed in a car with less than 9,000 miles on it. Within one month of purchase, it was in the shop due to problems with electric windows, and they are still occurring. Not good!

What a Waste!

I bought my Liberty new, and right away started to have problems. I have now had the vehicle for a year, and it's been in the shop 1/2 of the time! I am in a loaner car more than my own! It was such a waste of money! I hate it!

Love it! Handles well, comfortable, gets decent mpg for its size and engine. Would definately recommend to a friend.

My first SUV

I love my Jeep. it is stylish, handles well and has all the little bells and whistles that I love!! I bought this for a ton of reasons, one of which is that the reviews said that it has great gas mileage, 21 city 27 hwy. That is SO NOT TRUE!! One of the previous reviewers said it right... Gas mileage is closer to 12 city and 16 hwy. I'm very disappointed about this, but at least the Liberty uses regular fuel. Other than that, I have no complaints about my Jeep. Its a great vehicle.

My first jeep

This is my first suv and my first vehicle that is not a GM and I love it. It has a smooth ride and the gas mileage is ok for a big vehicle I can weight to dress it up with after martket parts.

Most disappointing car I've owned

I have owned 4 WD Suzuki, Chevy Blazer, Jeep Cherokee, and Land Rover. I gave up my Land Rover for the Liberty based upon fuel consumption-what a mistake. My Liberty averages less than 12 mpg in city driving and less than 16 mpg on the highway. It is less spacious, and has a rougher ride than the Rover. If could roll back the 10,000 miles I've driven in the last 9 months and get my Land Rover back I would do it in a minute. No savings here!!

good decision

I have owned many toyota,s over the years, so switching to a Jeep was big for me, I am so glad I made the move, very comfortable, easy to drive, good looking, seating is higher, better views than a car, I am very happy, however the gas mileage could be better but my comute is only a few miles, so, no big deal

CRD liberty rocks sure is worth extra $6000

Diesel will hold its value and wouldnt be suprized if they go up in used value. There not making these anymore with mercedes turbo diesel. Yes i was going to buy a Toyota 4runner but please $32,000 for a loaded up mid size suv not for me. CRD comes with many more upgrades not seen on gassers like HD 5speed tranny, HD cooling system, optima battery and much more. Will you ever tow a trailer then get a jeep fordescape, mazda tribute and so on dont have solid tuff rear axles pass on those.

Love My Liberty!

I have driven a Trooper, Blazer, Explorer, and Chevy S10. The Liberty is comfortable, reliable, and good looking. The cargo area is a little small, but other than that - it's the perfect small SUV. When I trade it in, it will be for another Liberty!
