Beautiful out side small inside

The Jeep liberty is beautiful to look at but is not as spaceus inside as it appears also is more suitable to persons with out small children. Other wise it's a nice vehicle.

Great car for everyday use

This jeep is amazing and is always reliable. Great turn radius... better than the sedan in the family. Turn is good size but is very visible to people walking by unless you have a cargo cover. Seats fold down to make larger trunk space when moving largo cargo like tables and couches. Great seating for 4 full grown men or great with three smaller kids in the back and 2 adults. There is plenty of leg room.

MY WIFE'S BIG MISTAKE!! 2006 JEEP LIBERTY LIMITED

this is a top of the line loaded jeep limited 2006 model. it was bought new in the last quarter of 2005, and currently has less than 16,000 miles. at less than 12k, both rear window regulators failed. the dealer wanted $282.00 per regulator parts not labor. i bought the new mopar regulators at different times on amazon from a chrysler dealer in another state for less than $55.00 average including shipping. i have no idea if these nos ones have the same little lift that broke twice or if they're improved. for now the windows are fixed. i have done my research, and am very aware of this jeep problem. chrysler corp. is also "very" aware and did a semi-secret extended warranty for the 2006/07 models. just not mine. i contacted chrysler and did all of their required jump thru hoops paper work. finally i was contacted by a customer care???? representative who said i was turned down. he told me becausea i bought the parts on the internet. i then asked him if he had my file. he said yes, so i said look at it. he had told me i didn't buy chrysler parts. i had included the original receipt with chrysler letterhead and part number. his story then changed. now the reason for denial was my 2006 had been manufactured a few months too soon. i asked if this represented chrysler corp. final decision and i was assured it was. i then asked him to be sure to tell those running the operation that they had sold me their very last product. i am a very unhappy jeep owner, and i tell any and all that their products are worse than their warranty, which is useless. i am also preparing for major door hinge problems. the hinges are more flimsy than their warranty. i have also filed a complaint with nhtsa, and "insisted" that my complaint be listed under safety. for some strange reason they do not feel that windows that can't be closed aren't a safety reason.

Works very good we pick it up to tow

I will like to see more jeep with the old transfer system, instead of the electric one, the manual transfer is more safe.

Great vehicle

I was set on a cherokee and ended up with a liberty and am so glad i made the decision to switch. 6 cylinder in this small suv makes it really peppy. 6 Years old and looks new-

2006 Jeep Liberty Limited Turbo Diesel

A good car that is no longer available. Unlike other posters, I have not have any trouble with the windows. With the diesel Liberty I get 20 mpg around town and about 25 mpg on the highway. Combine that with a tow rating capacity of 5000 pounds and 4 wheel drive and you have a fairly unique vehicle. How many other SUVs can match that? Performance in the snow is outstanding. On the down side the diesel engine is noisy and the ride is a bit rough. One problem I have encountered in my ownership is a turbo hose that has had to replaced twice so far. Otherwise it has been pretty trouble free and I now have over 90,000 miles on the vehicle. The other downside is the cost of servicing. The vehicle uses 6.5 quarts of oil which is a bit more than the gas version if I remember correctly. Overall though its a good vehicle and I think the diesel version is better than the gas one.

I like it! I love it!

i have a 2003 with 168,000 miles and running great! I have a five speed sport 2wd Plenty of storage. 6 ft husband and 6ft son sit comfortable! Seats stain easily.. it took awhile but eventually came clean, seemed like even water from cleaning stained. I never have had problems with my windows like others have had. replaced clutch, alternator, and general maintenance the dashboard and center console are well built, style hasnt changed much over the years so I don't feel like I have an old vehicle. Tinted windows helped keep direct southern sun. AC and heat regulate quickly after first getting in. I would buy another but mine is still running strong 168,000 miles

Never to Buy a Jeep again!!

My parents bought my 2006 Jeep Liberty new for my college graduation gift. It was great because I had no payments. I go to the Jeep dealership multiple times a year. The window regulators break often! The windows just fall down and break. It's awful and unsafe. Now that my extended warranty is up I am having to pay out of pocket each time. I have had other problems with the jeep too. The worst of all is the Jeep customer service I received. They cannot fix the problems the 1st time. I will never buy another Jeep. My mom had a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the windows did the same thing. "It's a Jeep Thing"...

Not bad for the money

First, let me say I got the Liberty used with under 10,000 miles for $12,500 about 18 months ago... which I consider a steal. It has no cruise control, but I drive mostly around town so no big problem. POSITIVES: The first winter I had it, I really appreciated the four wheel drive in the snow--which we rarely get in my part of the country. In 2WD, the Liberty really handles well and makes it a snap to parallel park. The seats are generally comfortable, and I like the exterior looks a lot. NEGATIVES: I had to replace the two rear windows after the power window lifter transmissions failed on BOTH OF THEM within two months of each other. It cost a lot even with an extended warranty. Chrysler has redesigned the lifter system and it requires totally different glass. Major bummer. Storage is an issue. No place for change? It flies all over the vehicle. One little storage compartment would make a huge difference. The cloth seats seem to stain and discolor very easily--don't sweat on a hot day or it will show. I am not the first Liberty owner to report this. ANY SUGGESTIONS for this? Engine is really pretty good, but can act under-powered when cold. OF NOTE: I replaced the stock tires and it really made a difference in handling--get some good rubber. Fuel mileage is as advertised: 17 mpg is what I get around town whether I baby it or not. Not much better on the highway. You could do worse than a Liberty... not regretting my purchase and figure if I do the routine maintenance that it will last me quite a while. We shall see.
