Best Jeep Yet!
I have had 3 Cherokees starting in 88 a 92 and 96. Also had a Grand Wagoneer for about 500 barrels of oil. It got 8-10mpg with a 10 gallon tank. The cherokees all got 19or20mpg and the patriot gets 26 unless my wife drives then 23. Got 28.8 out of one tank. It has handled some impressive spots off road, as well as any of my cherokees and it is very comfortable at high speed, 80-90 on the interstates, unlike the cherokees. Not the race car off the line that the I-6 powered cherokees were but the mileage makes up for it. Got the bumper to bumper lifetime warranty and I will be running this one for a long time. CVT takes a little getting used to for the off the line racers but the manual shift feature lets you rev it up a little. Handles great, excellent off-road (where I go- East Valley Road in MD) and great mileage.Everybody go buy one!

Best move I could have made
Aside from house and husband, this is the best purchase I could have made. I took weeks to decide what vehicle to buy. I looked at Escape, Trailblazer (loved my 98 Blazer), Equinox, but my heart belongs to Jeep. This is my second, have an 87 AMC with 216,000 miles. A month after purchasing we took a driving vacation around New England. Not one single problem except for the change oil reminder when I hit close to 3000 miles. Called the service department, they explained how to disable and sent me to the nearest service center on my route for a free oil change. Ride is comfortable, mileage is wonderful, roomy, manuverability is great. The only problem I have with the design is the pull up door locks. Don't plan on laying your arm across the door with the window open. The door locks are in the absolutely worse spot and jab right into your upper arm. Definitely planning more Jeep purchases in the future.

Good choice for snowy Ohio winters.
We bought our Jeep Patriot for driving on snowy roads and light hauling. It's been a good choice for both. It takes a bit of adjusting for me at under five feet to make it comfortable to drive. I was pleasantly surprised at the low insurance rates for it. Milage is a little better than what is estimated.

CHANGE OF PACE
THE LITTLE JEEP PATRIOT IS NICE, ECONOMICAL IN PRICE AND MPG. COMFORTABLE INTERIOR. NOT A RACE CAR BUT RELIABLE SO FAR. SEATS ARE EASY ON THE BACK/GOOD BACK SUPPORT. THE APPEARANCE INSIDE AND OUT ARE CLEAN LINES AND ATTRACTIVE. HANDLES WELL.

Best Jeep I have ever owned
I bought my 2008 Patriot Sport with Manual Trans straight across for my 2007 Honda LX Coupe because I wanted a Jeep with good gas mileage. The is the fourth Jeep we have owned and liked our 98 Cherokee but saw it was beginning to cost to much to keep on the road, so I traded for the Honda. The Honda was a nice car but after driving in recent snow, and a 900 mile trip to Denver I can say the Patriot is the best Jeep I have ever owned. It handles well, has good comfort and features, great brakes, and has the great Jeep style. The mileage is averaging at 26.5 city/highway and I couldn't be happier."

I'd Never Own Anything Other Than a Jeep Again
I recently traded in my Volkswagen GLI for a new Jeep Patriot. I was looking for something with more room that handled better in the snow. Even though the dealer assured me I was downgrading, I think I upgraded big time. The seats in the Jeep are actually more comfortable than the Jetta, it handles amazingly in the snow (my husband claims better than any other Jeep and we have owned 4) and for the base model it has great ammenities such as 4wd, ac and a temperature display. If you are looking for a luxury vehicle this isn't it, but if you enjoy the old jeep style, reliability and a great value you should definitely purchase this car!

great 4x4 with great gas mileage
I have had mine for three months and I love it! I have searched for a way to have my SUV and still reach an acceptable level of fuel efficiency, and the Jeep Patriot does what I need it to do. It also has a great cargo area that is perfect for my dog.

Gas Saver
With my kids getting older and traveling with me less I was looking for something smaller than my Yukon. I wanted to get better gas milage but retain some of the cargo space. The Patriot 4X4 was a the perfect vehical .

Good enought for this money
Everything is great, except: 1. Lazy engine 2. Strange noise when the fan is in the 2 position. 3. Cowling vibration when overtaking a truck! Due to this some minor unevennesses appear on the surface. 4. On high speed the engine is too noisy.
