2014 Jeep Patriot consumer reviews

A great mid size SUV. I primarily bought the vehicle for the comfortable ride and gas mileage. Since buying brand new in 2014, I haven't had any major problems with it, other than scheduled oil changes, and routine maintenance. A lot of skeptic reviews on this vehicle, but like always, don't knock it till you try it.

Was looking for a midsize SUV with a manual transmission. They are hard to find, but luckily Jeep makes them and they are great. Shifts just like my zippy car and the Patriot & compasses I drove were fun and comfortable.

Knowing my daughter has a sturdy car in city traffic and a lot of interstate driving gives me peace of mind. She loves it too.

Love my jeep patriot ! comfortable and has lots of room to haul around kids and my tools for work! love the 4 wheel drive for winter time up here in the foot hills in the country!

Good car, fought handles snow good, very slow off the start, but thats not its use. Can get great miles out of it it taken care well.

This SUV I have grown to love. First impression was ok but the more time I use it and the older it gets I love it more. I live in an apartment and have a garage and it's great cause it fits inside. Very small and narrow . Love this in snow and ice. I also got hit hard in the passenger fron side fender and little damage but when I heard that loud impact but I felt so secure in the patriot felt safe . And the best feature I like and still I have not seen a video on this in YouTube is the front passenger seat. It folds flat , u ask y is this great . When I took this patriot in Florida I moved my son car seat to the back driver side and the I sat in the back passenger side , while I folded the front seat flat down. I was able to seat/ lie down comfortably in the back with my leg/ foot all the way to the front seat . This made the ride so comfortable I felt like I was in a mayback. I THREW IN PILLOWS AND COMFORTERS AND THIS WAS THE BEST EXPERIENCE DRIVING TO FLORIDA. Only recommendation is to get the roof bag and get the ice cooler hitch so you can keep your trunk clean and you can fold all seats down and save yourself 200-300dollars so u don't have to stay in motel for 1 night . You can sleep inside since it is big enough when all seats are folded down. Thank you jeep for making a great small SUV.

Bought my 2014 patriot sport new . I live on a muddy terrain road just recently the back frame by the rear axle broke from the factory welding ..... I thought Jeep were durable I'm really disappointed

I've had my patriot for 6 months now, it was purchased as a third car to help out around our family. My only 2 complaint are the 13 gallon fuel tank, I wish it was bigger and the lack of lumbar adjustment on the seats. I have the 2013 latitude. I purchased certified pre owned and I haven't had any issues mechanically. If I drive it right I get 26 miles to the gallon in the city almost 25% more than the EPA figure. I have the 2.4 with the cvt. And as far as value, I am ecstatic about the 10535 out the door I paid for such a heavily optioned vehicle. On a side note this car is the 27th car I've owned in the 12 years since I got my license.

I've owned many vehicles over my 43 yrs of driving. The Patriot is the most well built of all. Nice ground clearance and love metal sheet of protection below the body. The best, though- it is a 2011 jeep with 96,000 miles, and it has only needed maintenance work-tires, brakes, oil. Everything still works great in this vehicle. The brakes lasted 50,000 miles, too. I think it helps the brakes last longer if you use the gear stick-which I do. I live on a dirt road in the mountains-Poconos. Patriot handles very well! Fits my four friends comfortably, as well. Highly recommend the Jeep Patriot.

This young senior citizen loves her first Jeep. Have driven it for two years, 30,000 miles. Two minor module malfunctions covered under warranty at three months; otherwise only oil changes and tire rotations. This Jeep is fun to drive, 2.4 engine very responsive, turns on a dime. I could have used a little deeper cargo area for tall objects and larger interior cubbies for my junk. Rear visibility is much better than other suv's. I traded an '06 Camry with only 75,000 miles and am so much happier with the Patriot. I recommend this vehicle and do not understand the negative 'professional reviews' which caused me to hesitate before purchasing. Cost helped make to my decision.
