I love it!
I was looking to get an upgrade from my Scion XD. I needed something a little bigger, but not too big. The Jeep Renegade was perfect! It?s also really good on gas, for an SUV.

Reliable quality craftsmanship Jeep Renegade
The Jeep Renegade is a quality midsize SUV that meets the needs of a city driver who needs good gas mileage and desires comfort along with being a 4X4 when needed. Only have owned it for short period of time but very please with the way it handles like a car and the room it has. Oh yes and all the buttons and bells and whistles to any person could ever want.

Very enjoyable for the month that I have owned it.
So far, so good with this car. Plenty of front leg room space as well as head room. The gas mileage for both city and highway driving is spot-on what Jeep said it was. The car is not too big for my needs, yet has enough cargo space for luggage, camping gear, groceries, etc. I researched cars for several months before I purchased and got my options down to a Renegade or a Nissan Juke. There are some similarities between the two cars, but what sold me was the cargo room and head room that the Renegade had over the Juke. The color options were also a little more unique with the Renegade.

What a gem!
The Renegade has exceeded all my expectations. Lots of room, nice interior, good fuel economy, good power, nicely tuned steering feel & handling, light clutch action & smooth shift action. I purposely chose the lightest, fastest version - a Sport w/FWD & the 1.6T engine w/6-spd manual trans. Keep the revs under 2500 rpm & she's a docile puppy, keep her on full boost @3500+ rpm & you've got yourself a very zippy hot hatchback. Reminds me of my old Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo & my Suzuki Swift GT. This trucklet has gobs of merging & passing power on the hwy. Best of all, my car stickered at $22K, but w/dealer & factory discounts, I got it for way, waaay less. What an incredible value. This car handles very well too, much less body roll than the 1" taller 4x4 versions & the power to weight ratio is good since it weighs 300-500 lbs less than the 4x4 version w/2.4 motor, auto trans & high level options. There are also less parasitic losses in the fwd drivetrain, so more engine power hits the ground. I tested a much more expensive Subaru Crosstrek, but nearly fell asleep from boredom while driving. Drove a Kia Soul in the same price range as the Jeep, but it was a slug too. 30 hp less than the Jeep & over 60 ft-lbs less torque. I have 3000 miles on my Renegade already & have only had it 3 weeks. Can't stop drivin her! This is definitely the cure for your driving maladies. BTW, there is an aftermarket, tuned ECU upgrade that brings the Rene up to 200 hp & 220 ft-lbs torque. Not that I would recommend such Madness!

This car is an absolute pleasure to drive
Probably one of the main reasons I bought this car is that it's the only SUV in N. America on which a standard transmission is still available, and even though that was a major reason, that doesn't preclude the fact that I love the styling, the comfort, the overall 'feel' of the vehicle, and all of the extras available. I thought I was going to miss my Honda Element, but I don't. I really love my Renegade.

Very happy with purchase
Has a lot of space. Drives incredibly smooth. 4X4 is a game changer in this car. Only regret is not getting heated seats.

Fun little peppy jeep
I've have own a few jeeps in my short driving career. A 1996 Grand Cherokee and 2007 Commander. Along with other full size SUV and Trucks. I've never owns a vehicle so small. But this jeep does have more space than it looks. Lends itself to be a fun little daily driver and used for light offloading depending on how you mod it. I got a 2017 Jeep Renegade Altitude with the 1.4L turbo engine and manual trans 4x4 and absolutely love it. Its quick and manuvers well. I love driving it every day and would recommend it to anyone who looling for a daily thats still good in all weather and some exploring
