Stylish for a compact

To me this car looks better on the road than other cars in its class, bringing to mind larger cars, with lines more like a camry than a civic. No, I'm not about to confuse this car with a Camry, but when you see it, you don't think of the Spectra. The interior is roomy for a compact. AT 6 feet tall, I fit in the back seat, and don't have too much of a squeeze to get in. The 4 cylinder has no problem in merge situations, and we're happy with the mileage, too.

Our 1st brand new vehicle

Never have we bought a new vehicle before. With gas prices and our bad gas mileage in our GMC SUV, we decided to trade it in for a new Kia Forte EX Sedan. We've had it almost a month now and love it! We love the look, the inside, and all the features it comes with. Two days after we had it we drove 2 hours to the beach and we did not even have to fill up till we got back home! We love it!

Sporty, comfy and oh so fun to drive

Love our lil Forte. Had great luck with Kia's in the past and this one is so cute and sporty and a blast to drive. She'll really scoot! Nice, uncluttered display, tight controlled handling feel, nice sharp exterior, non-distracting red-lighted display (like alarm clocks), good visibility, more horsepower than the top similar cars

Great Car!

I love my new car. We paid $17,428 (includes taxes) for thie Forte which included the "Economy Fuel Package". Most important to me is long-term reliability (My last car was a 1997 Saturn), so the real results won't be known for 10 years. At this point I am delighted with my purchase.

Home Run For Kia

I have been a Kia fan and owner for years and have lived and experienced their steady improvement in quality, the Forte does not have to stay on the porch, it can run with the big dogs. My Forte is an EX sedan 2.0 auto.

Pretty good car!

Overall, I like the Forte. I've had it for about two months now, with just a few complaints. The exterior styling is great. The interior (I have the stone leather) I really like, it looks good, is easy to clean (I have two dogs), and matches the interior well. My biggest complaints are all fairly minor. Road noise seems loud when driving. The doors (at least the driver's door) does not stay open unless pushed all the way out (there's no place for it to stay locked unless completely open). The iPod cable renders the iPod completely useless as you must control it entirely through the display in the car (which, if you're looking for a particular song, is much easier to do with the click wheel than going through the categories of playlists and finding the correct playlist and then the song). I also haven't found a way to pause a song on the iPod (using the ipod you would just press the play button on the click wheel, but there's no option to pause it in the car - I don't think). Also with the display, I love that it shows the artist and song title (when listening to Sirius), but if either is longer than the display, it would be nice if it would scroll to either direction to be able to read the artist's name or song title in its entirety. I seem to have a hard time getting the headrests in the back seat to stay all the way down. Last thing, there's no automatic setting to make sure that when you are driving and have the fan set on "0" to have NO air coming out of the vents; you have to push the button to control that, but when you turn the car off and back on again another time, the button is no longer activated. On the positive side, I love the center console with two sections and use it all the time. I also appreciate the extra cup holders on the two front doors, and the display is great for Sirius and the iPod. It's a great looking car, I really do love the interior, and it's a steal at the price. I test-drove 8 other cars I think, all $25k or under (roughly), and went with this one. I have my complaints but I would definitely recommend it.

Happy New Kia Owner

The 2010 Kia Forte EX with the Fuel Economy Package seems to have every feature we were looking for. We were NOT in the market for a Kia, but were disappointed by the amount of back seat leg room in comparables we looked at. The Kia has plenty of leg room in back, and nice size trunk - AND has very nice safety features like built-in bluetooth and six airbags. Also has a USB port for the ipod/iphone. The comparable cars didn't even offer auto door locks for cars in the same price range. Decent amount of power and fun to drive. Will be a great commuter car!!

Excellent Car that matches Hyndai known quality

I was attracted to the price/size/performance compared to Japanese cars that I own/have ownd several (H,N,T). I drove the my LX on the hwy for the first several trips and achieved 40.5 mpg (100% hwy)! I like the smart engineering in the automatic 4 speed that runs the engine at lower rpm than the competition - hence excellent gas mileage. I expect the car to last past the great warranty. Keep up the good work Kia!
