Most UNRELIABLE Car I’ve Ever Owned
This is an excellent car for people looking to put less than 500 miles on it per month. Honestly, if you plan on putting more than 10k miles on it in the first year it may not be the car for you. It's comfortable for short commutes and has plenty of cargo space. It’s awful for long drives as there is no lumbar support in the seats. Gas mileage is excellent. If you're looking for a vehicle to drive an average of 100+ miles per day or to use for long distance commutes, this isn't the one for you. The car was in the shop several times within the first 6 months of owning it. I purchased it brand new with maybe 5 miles on it. Within a month there was an issue with it idling and driving poorly. Took several tries and lost hours of work taking it to the dealer before they informed me they’d never seen the issue before and were able to open a ticket, give me a rental and fix it. Cut to a few weeks later and the car starts shaking violently and stopped excellerating while climbing a hill at 75mph. AC and everything in the car is unusual enough while I’m in the middle of nowhere, two hours from the nearest shop, waiting for a tow truck in the heat. Another rental car for however long. The car had a few more other random issues that “they’d never seen” before over the next year and then the engine blows up. Engines gets replaced after having a rental for a month. Have it back in the shop exactly three times within two weeks after the new engine (twice for the same problem related to the engines, once because the bottom of the xxxx car tore off when I hit a puddle of water). I get to drive it for a few weeks when....the air conditioner stops working. Take it in, they can’t find the problem, charge me $140 because the “warranty expired” (60k which I had just hit when the engine blew) and tell me to come back. Drive with no air conditioning in the piece of crap car for over a week, go back....there’s a seal leak in the air compressor they can’t fix. I’ve had the car exactly 23 months and their fix for this? “It will cost over $2k to replace the compressor or you can just trade the car for a new one!” No thank you. I got it appraised and was offered $10k for a car that I paid well over $20k for and have had less than two years. Every dealer has told me that this is NOT a sought after car, hybrids aren’t popular, Kia doesn’t resell well. I’m going to be upside down in debt because of a xxx car and you do not want that to happen to you. Run. Run far away. I always loved my Kia Soul and I was going to trade in for a new one but not now. Not ever.

Niro is a good choice if buying hybrid
Gas mileage is as advertised. I get 51 MPG. Looks more like a a little compact SUV, and sits almost as high. The EX model was most preferable for me as it had many of the amenities of the Touring model, but gets better gas mileage.

Needs some engineering redesigns.....
When I first bought this car I needed to take it into a tire replacement place to have two new rear tires put on since it jumped all over the road at time. The cruise control has a mind of it's own and will not reset at the speed you set it at after breaking. I've almost completely lost power from the engine twice had to put it in neutral and pump the gas and after a time the engine kicked back in and it ran fine but when it did that the last time I was in the middle of a blizzard in Illinois and if it would have died WoW would I have been in trouble. Finally I went to open the rear passenger side door when I first got the car and the handle fell off the car I was on vacation at the time I was ablt to fit it back into it's place the dealership said Kie new of the problem but wouldn't fix it until they fell off the car? Well today 05-04-19 both passengers side door handles fell off in my hands have to take it back into the dealership on Tuesday to have them put new handles on the passenger side doors. You'd think that Kie would want this car to work perfectly? I do every time i take it into Bill Walsh Kie in Ottowa,Il.the mechanic's say they checked all of the above problems and why the power loss they haven't a clue or the fault in the cruise control either? Since new tires were put on the back the vehicle ride fine but wioth a car with less than 200 miles on it should you need new tires on the back end of it to make it track properly I don't think so. I love the gas mileage but am disgusted with these door handles falling off the vehicle looks like they attach them with pot metal or plastic whatever they are using they need to stop it and use a product where the handles stay on the car. I have own a lot of cars but this car has it's problems I half way think they need to replace the computer on this vehicle with the loss of power and the cruise control issue. If I ever get stranded Kie might just be hearing from my lawyers especially when I'm in the middle of a blizzard. Well there you have it Kie you need to engineer this car much better of fire those in charge of the design flaws in this car.....

Best car we've ever owned.
This car is remarkable. It's so different from our other cars. My only concern is the passenger door is too heavy for someone with numberois health issues.

Great car. Every time I go to the gas station I am
I love the gas mileage. The care car lives up to what was promised. Very comfortable. Easy to get in and out of for older people. I wanted an SUV but was afraid of the height to get in and out of. This car is perfect for older person to access. Love this vehicle.

Great Little Car
I have really enjoyed this car. Being a hybrid the MPG is very good and exceeds my expectations. It is by no means underpowered. My wife and I made a trip from Ocala, Florida to Kansas City and the car performed admirably. We were comfortable the entire way.

Awesome Car with Great Gas Mileage also.
I have never owned a hybrid vehicle before and so I am very happy with the gas mileage. Plus this car has a lot of room inside. It is comfortable in the front seats and also back seats. I have USB ports, Bluetooth, back up camera, folding mirrors, heated seats. The list goes on and on. This Niro touring Suv is also full of pep!! I love it.

I LOVE my NIRO!! Traded from a Sorento...
I love my Niro...Traded in a Sorrento which was wonderful but wanted something a bit smaller with better mileage. I was the back end was just a wee bit bigger for trips and garage sales. It's a great car and very fun to drive. The back up camera is excellent, and I love all the safety bells and whistles... I do miss having a cd player...didn't notice it wasn't included when I bought it.

15,000 Miles no problems but factory recalls
I like the car. On the edge of loving it, but. It's drives great until you get over 55mph. Over 55 you have to drive it. It likes to wander on the road and a bit underpowered so it's throttle is lagging. To me doesn't seem solid at higher speeds.
