This is my first kia.

This is my first kia. The fit and trim are solid. The car is sound all around. Great gas mileage between 46 in the very cold winter to 67 mpg. Depending on how you drive it. I.ve been dealing with a dealer in burlington massachusetts where I purchase the vehicle. Im not sure they pay attention to detail as the engine calls for a special motor oil, 0W16, And that was not reflected on the engine oil change receipt. When I approached them with a question about the Motor oil, i was told all the engines are the same, which is not true. Also they recommended a 4wheel alignment which i paid for but had problems down the road. The dealer was very unhappy when they had to Repeat the alignment again, and made sure I knew about it. At this time I am searching for another dealer.

I've had this car since 2023, and I've put almost 35k

I've had this car since 2023, and I've put almost 35k miles on it thus far. I've maintained it by manual specifications and have had no issues with how the car performs. The only issue I've had that was semi-irritating was the Android Auto/Carplay would cut out on me but I finally got a dealership to replace a faulty USB port and have had zero issues since! I get great milage and have no complaints as of today.

2023 Niro SX HEV is my 2nd Niro.

2023 Niro SX HEV is my 2nd Niro. I purchased this a a Certified Pre-owned car with 14,400 miles on it. It now has 22,000 trouble free miles. The CPO warranty is the same as new car warranty. I appreciate the size, utility, comfort and fuel economy (52 mpg ave with 90% of miles in city). My 1st Niro was a 2019 PHEV which I was very happy with. It had two electrical issues, both were covered under warranty with no problem. I traded up to the 2nd generation Niro for the increased room and improved comfort over the 1st generation. I didn't get a PHEV the 2nd time around because I don't put many miles on the car and financially it made more sense to get the HEV rather than the PHEV after the Fed tax credit expired. Very happy with both Niros and recommend them for anyone wanting a comfortable, well equipped hybrid or PHEV.

Kia Niro EX Touring, 2023.

Kia Niro EX Touring, 2023. About one year since purchase. Can't beat the gas mileage! About 54-55 MPG. Love the interior seat material. Comfortable and easy to clean. No issues whatsoever. Performance is good, with nice acceleration. Smooth drive. Trying to think of cons.... Overpriced. Should be $4Kish less. Shiny parts of console and dash show dust too easily. It would be nice to have a bit more cargo space, but that was known when I bought it. Occasionally the seat belt notification sounds off erroneously, but I don't know why.

Great value and Great mileage

Our 2023 Kia Niro is 10 months old with 21000 miles on it. It had averaged 49.6 mpg overall. If we drive into the Oklahoma wind I will average 44mph. With no wind the average is 56 mpg. It is the SX addition, very well equipped. Have had no problems. It has plenty of get and go for us two retired people. We love it and would recommend it .

NEW - Broke down after 12 days - not repaired yet

Bought a brand new 23 KIA Niro, less than 2 weeks later it would not start. Had to youtube to see how to jump it (never owned a hybrid before). Took it back and they had it for a day. When I picked it up, they said that they could find nothing wrong - they inferred that I must have done something wrong. Two days later it wouldnt start. Took it back. It has been 14 WEEKS and they said they are waiting on a battery. They wont replace the car - I just get stuck with a lemon. I even had to fight with them to get a rental to drive to work!!! Have spoken to FL DA about lemon law… its a shame because we have been KIA buyers for years!

Broke down in the first 3 weeks

You’re looking to buy a 2023 Kia Niro hybrid, my advice is to purchase literally any other car. Three weeks into my four year lease with the temporary tags and plastic still on the floor mats, this car just abruptly stopped in the middle of the road saying hybrid system failure. It has 1100 miles. What a joke.

Just don't...

If you have a blowout or a punctured tire you are at the mercy of the roadside assistance - whenever they decide to show up. There is no spare, no jack or no lug wrench included, just a cheesy "fix-a-flat" spray bottle that's good for nothing. What the xxxx were they thinking? Apparently they don't get flat tires in the cities in Korea. I would never buy another Kia. The infotainment system is also very clunky and counter-intuitive. It's easy on gas, that's about the only good thing I can say about it. If you have one of these and have an emergency or safety concern, be prepared...you're screwed.

Hits the sweet spot

The Kia Niro hits the sweet spot for me. I had driven the Hyundai Elantra hybrid but the car was just too small. Also had driven a Honda Accord (non-hybrid) but was unimpressed. Took one look at the Kia Niro and was in love at first sight. Currently getting 52 mi to the gallon on my first tank of gas. It is the perfect sweet spot between economy and overall size. Who would think that a small crossover can get over 50 mi to the gallon consistently? And the warranty is top in the business. 100,000 mi 10-year warranty on the powertrain! The car has a super comfortable ride, super comfortable seats. I bought the base trim and could not be more happy. It has all the safety features that I was looking for including blind spot monitoring, etc. The tech is super savvy and allows a lot of custom configuration so the buttons can do whatever you program them to do. My only complaint thus far, is the cup holders. If you're using a tall cup it interferes when you're trying to put the car in drive. The cup holders sit directly behind the shifter and they do not accommodate fat containers. Other than that though I have no complaints. If you're looking for something super fast off the line 0 to 60 in 1.5 seconds, you're probably not going to like the Nero. However if you drive like 97% of other people, the car has plenty of power and I would highly recommend a Kia Niro.
