Lovin' our Kia Niro Hybrid

Love our 2023 kia niro non-plug hybrid. Only thing we are going to do is paint our white kia niro top, posts and side roof lines gloss black which is a popular look these days.

Our 2023 KIA Niro SX Hybrid! Love!

We're sold on KIA products. We traded in our 2011 KIA Sorento (purchased originally new) with 129,000 miles last week for our first hybrid, a 2023 KIA Niro SX hybrid, and we love it. We were attracted to the interior and exterior new design, all of the electronic features and the outstanding gas mileage (53 mpg) on this particular model. We hope this model will give us as much pleasure for as many years as our former vehicle, which only got 18 mpg in the city.

Niro is Best in Class

Looking for a replacement to a Buick Encore in January 2023, I had narrowed my choices to a Mazda CX-30, Subaru Crosstrek, and a Kia Sportage Hybrid. I have owned Mazdas and Subarus previously, and liked both. A test drive of the CX-30 provided the usual excellent Mazda driving experience, but it was too cramped, especially for rear seat passengers. The Subaru Crosstrek was a true Subaru, but I was not impressed with seats or cargo volume. No hybrid Sportages were available for a test drive, and a test drive in the non-hybrid version left me feeling the car was bigger than I liked, and I did not like the glass roof. I decided to try a Niro HEV EX Touring test drive. Love at first sight. I ended up with a Niro HEV SX, which added sound absorbing front windows, Harmon Kardon sound system, heated steering wheel, and power liftgate. A 900 mile road trip, fully loaded and with a passenger returned 46.0 mpg. Mixed suburban/urban driving is currently returning 53 mpg. Every day the Niro surprises me with clever engineering features. Power is adequate (better than the Encore or a 2016 Honda HR-V), ride is comfortable, interior is amazingly quiet, even at speed with the ICE running. The Niro is not a sports car, but handles well in the mountains of north Georgia. Summary: At age 76, I have owned 10 cars since 1962, and rented a bunch of others. The Niro is heads above all of them. It is the best car I have ever driven. I am head over heels in love with it.

Loving the 23 Niro

Absolutely loving this vehicle! Kia did an amazing job with the interior quality of materials, and tech in a bar model vehicle. They also killed it with gameifying the aspect of hyper milling the vehicle while driving. I am constantly discovering me tricks, that I didn't know the vehicle did, when I think, "man I wish this was something I could do, it would make it even more convenient" and sure enough, you can do it!
