Love the features in this car. cooled seats and heated stearing wheel. Couldn't find another car in this class with cooled seats and I sweat on leather so it was important to me. Stereo sounds very nice, important to me. Wasn't looking for heated stearing wheel but now that I have it I like it. Cooled glove compartment might be nice in the summer. 200 HP is plenty for me. Don't expect 35 mpg though. I get 29 same as I get with 2008 Toyota Avalon that is rated 29 highway.

Better than expected

I traded in a 4x4 V6 RAV4, Ltd, 2009 model for this Kia Optima. I received an excellent purchase price for the Kia and a great trade-in price, which made the trade-in a no-brainer for me. As for the Optima, so far, it's been great. I'm loving the heated steering wheel feature - very useful in New England winter - and getting nearly 500 miles between refuelings. It's easy to drive, hugs corners, has ample space in the front and back seats (I have two kids car seats in the back with plenty of room for their legs and for my front passengers legs), and ample storage room in the trunk. Minor accomodations I've had to get used to is a lack of an easy reach "free coins" space or other such knick-knack cubbies. However, it does have mulitple outlets for me to plug-in my various electronic gadgets to power-up and charge on the go. The headlights are awesome at night, so long as I'm not staring into the high beams of an oncoming SUV. Overall, I highly recommend this car.

comfortable but not perfect

The 2012 Optima looks OK inside and out and the seating is comfortable. Faults include less than advertised mileage - getting only 21/29 max - am disappointed so far. Engine is noisy - sounds tinny. Is jerky at slow speeds and on start up - very hard to start out smoothly. Not fun to drive in city - highway is better.

Exceptional Value

I have test driven Kia, Lexus, Nissan, and Toyota and my Kia Optima has all of the features I wanted at thousands of dollars less. It is fun to drive, comfortable and I like how I look in it.

Loved 1st Kia Optima SO bought a 2nd Kia Optima

Just received the 2012 Optima EX GDI as a Christmas present to replace my 2002 Optima SE. I loved my old Optima but the 2012 Optima is definitely an upgrade. From the heated seats & steering wheel to the Navigation System I'm really in love! It's a very classy looking car on the road. People make the assumption it's a more expensive car & are really surprised to find out it's not. Having been a Kia owner for 10 years, I'm very pleased with the maintenance history of the Kia versus other cars that I have owned.

Stylish and worth the Money

I currently own a great 2012 Kia Optima EX. It is quite possibly the best vehicle I have ever purchased! It's a full sized sedan with tons of room inside the cabin and in the trunk. The trunk space is so huge i can fit at least 3-4 sets of Golf clubs in it! Its gets me outstanding gas mileage averaging around 34mpgs with my everyday driving to and from work. When I first test drove the car I was sold just in the convenience and comfort of the interior. The amount of options and standard features that you get for the price are astounding. Features such as standard Bluetooth, Leather seats, Dual Zone climate control, Power drivers seat and tilt and telescopic steering are just the tip of the ice berg. Then you have options like heated and cool front drivers and passenger seats, with heated rear seats, Navigation with a Back-up camera in the NAV screen, heated steering wheel, and many more options all for a VERY competitive price. I would highly recommend this vehicle to anyone in search of a full sized sedan. Also, this vehicle is made right here in the US in Georgia!!!

I traded in my Acura

I just purchased the SX TurboCharged and I love it. I traded in my Acura and feel like I have upgraded. I was very surprised in Kia and never thought their cars would drive, look and ride like they do. I love the navigation, handsfree, large sunroof and moonroof and push start. excellent for the money!

Finally a great car!

I traded in my 2010 VW CC for a 2012 Kia Optima and I initially thought it was going to be a downgrade for me but after driving and owning it for a few weeks, I absolutely love my new Kia! It actually handles better, not as noisy and has so many more features than my Volkswagen! I honestly could not be happier with my purchase.

Great car!!!

We've had our Optima EX for 2 months now. It's the best car I've ever owned. In the past, I've had cars I liked but there were one or two things that I would have changed. That is not the case with the Optima. People often mistake it for an Accura or an Audi. We got our EX with every option except for the turbo and extended the bumper to bumper warranty to 10 yr- 100K miles and still got out the door for $29K. I'd recommend an Optima to anyone that wants a stylish, sporty mid size car with a great warranty at a reasonable price.
