This car was a well rounded sedan that had everything I needed without having to dump a ton of money post market. The interior sound quality is absolutely amazing and the exterior nails that contemporary rough look.

This has been a great car. Enjoy driving it every time I get in it. It is roomy, comfortable, luxurious, with ever feature I could ever want. The exterior is beautiful and sporty. Roomy truck and back seat. the turbo motor has great power and gets awesome gas mileage. Have 7000 miles and have had no problems. I have owned probably 40 cars and none have been better.

I have hated this car since the first week. The only good thing about it is the lane keep assist. I drove it off the lot and within a week it was making noises. I have been to the dealership over 10 times in the past year trying to get the noises to stop which they won’t.

I like the looks inside and out and with the turbo I get great gas mileage and it rides great I get a lot of compliments on it too.

This is the first “car” I have owned. I’m used to driving SUV’s, I was pleasantly shocked how much I loved this car after the test drive. I was scared of losing room but I definitely don’t feel that way at all! Love all the safety features and has everything I was looking for.

These cars are known for engine sludge and Kia is known for not honoring the warranty. I have already had trouble with Doral Kia trying to bully me into unnecessary service and insinuating my warranty may be in jeopardy if I refuse. That is illegal.

I love this car, it is very reliable and great on gas and meets all my daily needs when it comes to a vehicle. 10/10 would recommend.

Love the outside and inside the car yet dealership fails to repair the work requested!!!!! They sold us the car with 100,000 mile 10 year full warranty and they just don’t want to fix anything

I used to have to get high end cars get the convenience tech features I wanted. Phones, keyless start, BT, GPS, vented/heated seats, blind spot monitoring and such options were once reserved for luxury brands. I have had several BMW, Audi and MB which first offered these amenities that have been becoming available on less exclusive brands. Fantastic! Now retired, I have been looking at some “more affordable” makes. I chose this 2019 Kia SXL Turbo because it offered pretty much most of the options I will not do without, plus a few others at a value price. Rear seat heaters and 4 camera surround view monitors were two options I wanted that many others in this class did not offer. I miss the remote push button trunk lid operation on the 2017 Lincoln I had previous to this but Kia’s “smart trunk is still “okay”. Kia seems to be doing away with garage openers too, so I bought a small 4 button fob I placed on the visor to open 3 doors. $12 on Amazon. Oh well. I test drove Honda, Toyota, Volkswagon, Hyundai and Mazda but none were able to come close in overall value for me. The well thought out operation of the radio/media and GPS navigation is superior to ALL of my previous vehicles. And the Kia UVO also is superior to Android Auto which requires a USB connection. Texting by voice commands while driving through the UVO is great as is searching for a POI destination, still I am uncertain if I will be willing to pay the high fee for a UVO subscription after the one year included “Ultimate” plan expires. Many states are enacting laws to require hands free cell phone use. I can use my voice to send texts via my smartwatch and I had the dealer install Kia’s remote start so am able to rely less on the UVO app for that. And I can always rely on my phone with Google to input destination searches. The other UVO features are not worth paying for imo. But I may reconsider when the time comes. The smart cruise with stop&go is great. The operation is simple and intuitive. The Lincoln with just “regular” cruise was the worst design of any of my previous cars. It was cumbersome and annoying to operate with too many buttons. (Wake up Ford!). This Optima SX Limited also comes with many safety features like collision avoidance and lane keeping (plus more). Also a 5 star safety rating. The 2.0 4cyl turbo is peppy with a nice note when accelerating. The ride is a bit stiff though not unpleasant at all. The EX Limited I considered felt a bit softer but I preferred the SXL for some additional equipment. The controls are generally well placed, easy to use and are not overly reliant on the 8 inch touch screen, which is nice. I prefer the hard buttons for navigating directly to the menu I want. The interior is tasteful with nice materials but will not be confused with a high end luxury car…I like to say it’s “understated”. (I prefer the dashboard design to the curves in the similar Sonata). Currently I am getting over 27 MPG just driving around town, but I am intentionally driving conservatively to test how efficient it can be driven. No doubt that number will decline with my more typical driving. Perhaps there could be a bit more sound deadening material or absorption insulation put in. I notice I could hear some dishes I had in transported in the trunk rattling, sounding like they were in the back seat. The sound when closing the doors and trunk lid seem less solid than I am used to. Minor quibbles really. I do not find the highway noise too bad really. I have had quieter cars but this is more than acceptable. Perhaps my hearing is not what it used to be? I really can’t believe I am driving a Kia! But they seem to be building great cars and the price differential from a more “prestige” brand is significant not to mention its direct competitors. I was able to score a great deal on a leftover horizon blue 2019 model (it looks fantastic!) for $10k below it’s $37K MSRP. Timing is everything and the end of year deals are what I typically look to negotiate on. I will see how it goes over time but right now the honeymoon continues. Maybe I should have looked at Kia before! For me, when comparing cars to buy, it usually comes down to the negotiated "deal" on similarly equipped cars. That is often an unknown that professional reviews cannot factor in. I put 3 star for reliability based on JD Powers, This is my first Kia and too new to know
