Multiple electrical problems after only a year
Acceleration issues (slow to pick up after starting), beeps at me when it’s cold. Radio screen completely died after 1 year of use and I’m having a lot of other problems such as: car dying/locking me out from starting it randomly, interior controls not working, lights on the dash that are inaccurate, etc... it seems there’s a major electrical or control board issue on a car that’s only a year old. 11K miles. Sure it’s under warranty and covered but I’ve wasted so much of my time on this stupid car!

Most Exciting Car to Drive - EVER!
The 2016 Kia Rio is an excellent commuter car and gets amazing gas mileage. It maneuvers well and has a great acceleration for a four-cylinder vehicle. It also brakes quickly and moves effortlessly along the highway or a winding road. This is because the car is a canoli! Made out of lightweight materials and with a body of almost exclusively plastic, this fast food hamburger container lifts off on a gusty day and can be put back together with the ease of a Lego Castle when it falls apart. The skip plate is gone, and the bumper was hanging by two clips - not screws, but clips - when we accidentally nudged our plastic trash can in the carport this morning. Trash can versus automobile? Well, the trash can was fine, and we found our ENTIRE BUMPER on the floor of the carport. No worries! Since none of the parts are kept together by screws or bolts, nothing was broken! We just inserted tabs A through T into corresponding slots and it snapped right back on! I strongly recommend this vehicle to anyone interested in driving around a Power Wheels that can go zero to sixty in under twelve minutes and flies like the wind - I mean WITH the wind. Just be careful on the freeway, or you will find yourself a crumpled hamburger container on the side of the road with many many tabs to place in corresponding slots.

Most economic vehicle I have ownerd.
Small economic vehicle, sharp looking interior & exterior, easy access to controls, seats are not that comfortable for trips longer than an hour. After market lumbar support and seat cushion has helped some.

Kia is a quality brand
The 2018 Kia Forte was the last year in a series--the newly designed 2019 Kia interior is by far more appealing to the eye. If the '19 isn't in your budget, then there are many 2018s with very few miles and a great price--I would recommend one of those. The mileage is better than the EPA estimate and the car's controls are user friendly. I drive a German car as well and they are known for good ergonomics but I think Kia is up to snuff with them--perhaps even more user friendly. The window tinting (or windows themselves) on mine was defective, so look at the vehicle very closely in bright sunshine. Overall? A good buy and a good brand (I have owned only 4 German cars and 13 Korean--the German brands may be more fun, but the Kia is practical and not a dull drive either)

Got this car for my 18th birthday
This car was gift from my grandfather. Over the course of the summer me and my father have been looking for a good cars for me since I had just gotten my license in May and wanted to practice by myself driving. I was going for used ones that had what I wanted the most, a rear-view camera. After a lot of deciding my grandfather decided to get me the brand new 2018 Kia Rio since it’s reliable, affordable and had my rear-view camera. So far I love this car and it’s amaizng to ride in! It’s easy to drive and comfortable for me as I’m the only one who drives it. It’s quite small but I don’t mind it as much because I’m petite lol. All of my friends literally envy the fact that I have a new car but I always tell them that this car is a affordable and when they’re seeking a new car, definitely get a Kia Rio. I couldn’t imagine a better first car for myself.
