2nd Gen Sedona Great. 3rd Gen Starting Off Good

Just a few small luxury electronic issues with my 220k 2nd gen Sedona EX. ALWAYS reliable with low operating costs: replace pitted headlights, windshield, brake pads etc. Retired because of accident. Replacement 3rd Gen EX has more luxury touches but sadly fixed 3rd row windows and non-removable 2nd row seats. Known to have even fewer issues. Both Sedonas sensitive to tire qualities so buy the higher quality/quieter tires. History:Both Sedonas had superior build and materials qualities in comparison to my 1997 Chrysler T&C who maxed out at 155k.

Great bang for your buck

Very comfortable, smooth ride. The smart cruise control is spectacular. Love it, use it everywhere! Plenty of power for accelerating unto the freeway. Lots of USB and 12v taps.

Love the Car

We considered buying an Odyssey, but then realized that the features we were really interested in were in the Sedona for half the price. Great buy!

The car suits all of our needs.

The Sedona has plenty of leg and head room in the front & back seats. It is quiet & a pleasure to drive. I especially appreciate the push button open & close for the hatch.

Worst Car in The World. Bad Quality an Bad Service

I bought a Kia Sedona SXL in June 2019, It was a new car Kia Hollywood was the seller. The car came with 4 defective tires, of very poor quality, in which it spilled and explode on the Turnpike Road, causing an accident. Kia's quality is poor and bad, whether it's car service and/or the quality of the car. I never buy a Kia Car again. It's the worst brand! It was the first and last time.

Has all the options. I got spoiled.

Van has lots of room. The quality rivals Toyota and Honda. My only complaint is that the seats are really hard. No give at all so after an hour legs and rear hurt. Adding to that the ride is harsh and truck like. The storage is not as good as Toyota Sienna. Sienna has cubby holes all over. My 10 year old Sienna is better all around.

Not impressed

The van feels extremely under powered while towing a pop up camper. The back end feels like the suspension os going too give on it, while I stare at the clouds above (because it sags so bad). It also sways terribly. The interior feels cheaply made compared too other Van's out there. We asked at the sales room if they knew if a 8 speed transmission was comming out for this model, and they did not know. Guess what transmission came out for 2019... I wanted the toyota, wife like the kia. Our loss. Also, this van feels like it looses alot of power when its shifting gears while driving. Save your money and buy a better made product.

Safety, Style, and Space SUPERIOR to SUVs

This is our fourth Kia and second Sedona. We choose them for price, reliability, safety, versatility, and unbeatable warranty--which we have rarely used due to reliability. It compares very favorably to the Honda Odyssey we also own. It has a lower cost of ownership because we do not have to replace the timing belt like we must in the Odyssey. The Sedona's timing chain (in models since 2014) will save around $1000 dollars every 60-100K miles. The Sedona is built to tow (and has predrilled holes for hitch and trailer wiring from the factory. Amazing value overall for all of its smart buyers!

Designed with a lot of thought.

As soon as I drove it I could see it was everything I wanted. The only other one in the running was Toyota but the 8th seat was useless. Honda and Chrysler are ugly. This van is more sleek and not bulky looking like the others. My only criticism is the ride is slightly stiffer. Love the heated rear seats. CarPlay sucks data.
