Have not had it long enough to tell

Im enjoying it. Interior is nice. I Wish i had gotten one with auto lift tail gate. Really like the memory seat. Like the extra space between seats without the shift.

Glad I Traded In My 2017 Ford Escape Titanium

Two months ago I traded in my 2017 Ford Escape Titanium and am very happy I did. My new base model MKC is a delight to drive. Road noise is so much quieter, and the ride is much smoother, making for a much more comfortable ride all the way around. So far gas mileage, with only 750 miles driven so far, is 17.8 using regular gas. Not as good as the 21.5 I'd gotten on the Escape, but I'm not doing as much highway driving now as I did last year. I'm hoping it will improve. As I need the back seats kept down so I'll have more cargo area in the back for my wheelchair and groceries, I've found the two back seats do not lay as flat as those on the Escape -- BUT -- that is because the seats are so much more plush than on the Escape. It's not a big deal, and on those occasions when I have back seat passengers -- they are certainly more comfortable. My only real complaint is the MKC has significantly less storage space in the console and door areas. The door area is very slight and, I think, is probably due to the extra insulation in the doors -- which I certainly appreciate. However, the console storage is different, and I think could have been avoided. Even though the Escape had the gear shift on the console, it had a nice area just in front of the armrest where small items could be stored -- as well as a good sized area in front of the gear shift. The MKC has only a small area at the front of the cup holders and it has a spring activated cover, which can be cumbersome. It does, however, contain a USB port, which is easier to access than the ones in the armrest box on the Escape. Also, when you life the armrest the removable container is much smaller than on the Escape. I do miss having the blind-spot function I had on the Escape, but I didn't want a moon roof, which I'd have to have had in order to have that function on the MKC. But even with the very minor issues notes above -- this car is a true winner.

Lincoln MKC mediocrity masked in mediocrity

I leased this car for 3 years and on looking back I feel its money wasted. Lincoln's so called premium product is very ordinary. The doors were misaligned by almost 5" , windows didnt close properly and the door handle was not properly secured to the door. There were loose screws everywhere and 1 week after taking it home the rattle was unbearable. Then came the gear shifter, they changed the sequence for safety reasons for which I had to take it back to the dealership. The mechanic didnt know how to change it as he wasnt trained, so i had to wait 2 weeks before i got the car back. Once back the a/c stopped working and it took another 2 weeks to get that fixed. In my 3 years of driving this car there were 5 recalls, none of which the dealer informed me about. Everytime I asked they said there werent any parts or the recall wasnt serious enough. Final straw against EVER buying another Lincoln was the transmission, after year #2 it would jerk, stop and go and painfully you could feel the teeth meshing and shifting into gear. I informed the dealer of this and they quickly brushed it aside. The leather was plush, the instrumentation top class but the rear seat was a torture to get in and get out of. I wont buy another Lincoln ever again. For the same price you can get a Lexus or Acura, there is no way the MKC even comes close to competing with top class luxury. This sort of issue would never have passed Acura or Lexus quality control. This is not luxury , this is mediocrity and there is a reason Lincoln is where it is.
