Bought as a daily commuter car and performs great and due to the 2.3l engine has enough zip to take corners great and leave the corner at a reasonable speed.

Entertaining yet sophisticated in demeanor, the 2008 Mazda 3 doesn't look, feel or drive like an economy car. If you're shopping for a small, inexpensive sedan or hatchback, this car should be at the top of your list. Athletic handling, refined and zippy engines, sharp styling, top-notch build and materials quality, sharp styling, hatchback utility, luxury features and ambiance at a budget price. So-so fuel economy with 2.3-liter engine, top safety equipment is optional on lower trim levels, tight rear legroom.

I was really pleased with the car I got for the price I got. Low miles, excellent body for an '08!, has been holding up really well. Felt I got really good value.

Great on gas nice and comfortable and very sporty. Only thing missing is power windows and locks. Steering is very reaponsive

Only real Cons with the Mazda 3 is the Motor Mounts. The engine is more reliable than the 2.3l and this car is a good buy.

The hatchback gives you so much room for fishing gear!!!! Great on gas. Room for four adults. Great on road trip.

owned for 10 years, considered my best friend, bought new and had no major issues for the whole time.

I have owned this car for 8 years I am the second owner my vehicle now has 172000 miles I bought it with 35000 miles on it decent on gas and I have the bright fire engine red and black so I love that it looks sporty and the color is sporting. The only downside to me for a Mazda and this will be my second one I found that the o2 sensors burn out which causes the check engine light to come on but if you are in a county or state that does not require an emissions test you are okay because it does not affect the driving ability of the car but the gas mileage does change so you may only get 20nog. I've never had an engine or transmission issue at all and is still going strong this will be my second car I plan on buying a 2011 or 12 in the next couple of weeks.

I had this car for about 2 months now and out 4000 miles on it and it runs great. No rust, great performance but the confort is not quite there. The sit are pretty hard on my back after an hour of drive and Im only 24 years old. The performance is excellent, I beat a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Cruize on the acceleration, so really great performance. Now the gas mileage in a city is terrible. It feels like I have a V6. But on the highway the engine really shine on gas milage. 500 miles no problem on 1 tank full of gas. Now we will see about maintenance, so far I put 300$ for a check engine and some sensor. Hope this review will help but overall this is a great first car

Have had this car since 2008 and it's now 2015. Extremely reliable and I have 71,000 miles on it. Have replace the battery and tires once and I need new tires again. Its been very economical to maintain with regular maintenance checks etc. Nice looking little sedan. Highly recommend!
