We bought a 2008 Mazda 3 Touring hatchback new.

We bought a 2008 Mazda 3 Touring hatchback new. We have driven it for over 15 years / 150,000 miles and have never had anything major break on this car. We change the oil about every 5,000 miles and had to do some work on the C/V joints at about 100K miles. We didn't even need a new clutch until 140K miles. This car handles great, has plenty of acceleration with the 5 speed manual and gets great gas mileage.

Best starter car

Ive had this car for almost a year and ive put it on aftermarket suspension and it runs great. Only issue ive ever had was with a bad electrical grounding to the fuel pump caused by the rough suspension. Insanely gas efficient and is very fun and is very toque-y in low gears. An amazing first car

It's ok, the AC and heat are weak

Very basic, good on gas, the heat and AC are very weak. The brakes have always been a bit squishy. I wish they were tighter. Otherwise, it's ok.

$3200 OBO. 2008 Mazda 171610 mile. Love this car

Great Reliable Car. Will last years if taken care of. Has a little get up and go power. A lot of body kits and accessories out there to really dress her up.

Most reliable car I ever owed

This car meets all my needs. The ride is like smooth and it handles like a sedan should. It has plenty of space for a family. It's just the right size. Plus has very comfortable seats and is loaded with technology.

Dependable and efficient

Not a fancy vehicle. But it starts every time, gets great gas mileage, has great handling...and most importantly of all...very few things ever go wrong...and virtually none of them require immediate service or prevent the vehicle from either starting or moving from Point A to Point B.

Fun car. Fairly reliable. MPG only 30

Mazda 3 is a good compact car. New, 2020 prices should be about 19, 300. The car is easy to park. Simple controls. Not complex like 2020. 2008 was a great version. Car is fast, easy to maneuver, small turning radius. Downsides...noisy, interior wears down easily, lock on door broke quickly.. Better noise control would be great, especially on highway. 2020 should not cost over 20,000 !!!

One of the best values in economy vehicles!

A great value vehicle that starts literally EVERY time I turn that key. It has had virtually no mechanical issues (service was mostly regular oil changes, tires, brakes, all within normal mileage expectations or better). Clutch lasted 160K miles! A/C needed service was needed at 170K. OK, at those mileages, that's fine. Nothing else went wrong. Who could ask for more? Runs literally like new.

Great car, Solid Engine

I love how sporty and compact it is for a 4 door. Easy parking and good at getting through traffic. Very tight steering, corners very easy.
