Great value, great looks

Very well built and comfortable. Mine just turned 100k miles. The engine has been perfect and the interior still looks new. It actually gets really good gas mileage especially for a small V8. My only issue is the cup holders near the middle console. They are useless. This car will rust in the bottom corners of the fenders. Rust also appears near the license plate. These are known issues. I had my car in the paint shop to address this and it looks great. I have been very satisfied overall with this car.

The Best Mercedes Car Ever!

My mother took such good care of this car. It drives like a dream - turbo charged with amazing pick up. Leaves other cars in the dust - 0 to 40 in 3 seconds!

recent purchase no buyers remorse

very nice responses from the steering gas and brake pedal, handles great around turns, read other great reviews about the vehicles reliability, people getting 320,000 miles plus on all original parts. love the interior and Bose sound system so many hidden corners in this car its been fun studying my owners manual. Only hang up has been the cup holders for the front seats.

Solid and comfortable; very German!

The 96-99 E class is by far the best years of the E class. DO NOT buy a 2000 or newer. I have 151k on mine and it drives and runs like new!! Chrysler ruined the name from 2000 to like 2007 or roughly around there. They tried to infuse their technology into the E class at this time and failed miserably. A 2000 E class is a K car with a MB star on the hood. The 99 is heavy, solid, and feels German. If you value your family's safety, want to stay out of trouble, and want to look cool, buy THIS 99 E 320!!

Most reliable car I've owned in 50 years.

Bought the car in 2001. Car now has 255,000 miles on it and it drives as well as the day I bought it. Great vehicle!

Pleasant surprise

This car is one of the most solidly built and ergonomically intuitive cars I've ever driven. It's comfortable without being squishy and climbs hills as well as a small V8. Maintenance even at 19 years old is relatively low-cost and infrequent. Only at 80k. Plan to store it winters and keep it for life.

Safest and reliable car I have owned

This wagon is sturdy, reliable and fits 7 comfortably. The engine is zippy and it turns on a dime! You would never know you are driving a wagon.

My first Mercedes benz

I think that it is a great SUV type of vehicle for the money and would recommend it to others as a second car to have.
