Have 80k miles and the issues with the car keep adding

Have 80k miles and the issues with the car keep adding up. Now have an oil issue that is costing 2600+. Center console won't open. Have a camera sensor keep popping up even after got it fixed. So disappointed. Should have bought a Toyota

To keep it short, the thing just falls apart.

To keep it short, the thing just falls apart. Within the last 4 months I have had suspension issues, the center console hinge totally break, the fuel door and fuel door actuator totally break, and the trunk lift assist arm completely snap and explode in my face. I owned the exact same car in a 2017 model, and Mercedes took features OFF between 2017 and 2020. Terrible, costly decision on my part.

Stylish SUV

As a tall man, space, performance, and comfort is a premium. I looked at several other SUVs but the GLE looks, and performs the best. I like the muscular look of the SUV. It's a boss of a truck especially if you opt for the 20 & 21 inch rims. I was not looking for speed and power so I decided to get the smaller 2.0 engine to get more milage on a full tank and I have no regrets. The 2.0 turbo is enough to get me around town. When driving through the backroads or highways, the ride is smooth. The SUV sit high enough so you see your surroundings. The tech displays: large navigation screen, ambient lighting, and large moon roof makes for a enjoyable ride. Leg room is nice and you feel like you are sitting on air. The ride is smooth and the car is spacious for a family of 5 on long trips. Like all luxury cars, you want to make sure you take out the maintenance plan for the vehicle. Getting Mercedes to do the service is a smart investment. Now, Mercedes will do the service but anything extra they will charge a premium fee so find out what the SUV needs and take it to a trusted mechanic. The SUV is relatively easy to work on according to my mechanic. Since having the 2020 GLE 350, I only had to change the rotors, tires and do the service maintenance at the dealership. Directional tires 20 inch rims in the front and 21 inch rims for the back at the dealership will run you over $1400 (installation included]) but do your research. I got mine, pirellis from tirerack.com for under $800 and got them installed for $20 bucks each. It was shipped from California, brand new. You can find these tires on other website as well around the same price so you don't have to overspend. Take time to do your research. The only issue I had is that the leather seat on the driver's side has a crack in the groove. You can barely see it but I expected the leather to much more studier and longer lasting. If you decide to get one, avoid the color black. It's hard to keep clean. Silver is by far the best color to keep clean. Overall, I can now see why Mercedes owners love their rides; classy, spacious, and reliable! You can't go wrong with Mercedes Benz.

Best Mercedes I have owned.

Drove 9 1/2 hrs from Pensacola Florida to Naples, to buy this specific Mercedes Benz GLE 350 4Matic. I have owned five Mercedes, but never the crossover model. This car has everything. Bought it from Tamiami Ford, of all places. Sales people were fantastic and knew more about the car than the local Dealer. Loved the ride back, pure comfort and luxury.

Don’t buy, huge disappointment

Car is a joke. First and last Mercedes. Over- engineered. Got the 4 cylinder (that’s on me) and it drives like a luxury go cart. Nothing works like it’s supposed to- too complicated for it own good. Key fob works 30% of the time. I’m in a dark parking lot at night digging for my fob to unlock because it doesn’t “see it.” The basic stuff needs to work. Seat material started to break down after 10,000 miles and of course wasn’t under warranty. I’m a very laid back person- not many things that get under my skin. But this is a joke of a car- I could go on and on. Can’t wait to get rid of it and will never buy a Mercedes again. Going back to Lexus! Never should have left, apparently.

Superb Road Car; Kept my GLK for Urban Driving

July 2022 purchased a certified 2020 350 GLE with 20K miles. 16K miles later we found the vehicle superb on the open road. Low NVH results in the driver (me age 71) feeling fresh after a 9 hours drive. In optimum conditions have seen 30-31 mpg but expect 28. Experienced ac/heat control issues and resolved per tech bulletin instructions for module replacement. We use the SUV for road trips and at 37K front brakes at 7mm.

2020 GLE350

I love my car. I built it in August of 2019 and got it 12/31/19 due to a part in backorder in Germany. It has everything I wanted and it has been perfect since the day I got it. The interior lights up at night and people who have never been n my car before are always amazed at how cool the lights are! The heated rear seats are the best! I also have heated and cooled cup holders that keep my coffee hot in the winter and my water cold in the summer. The best.

Poor Brakes

The 2020 GLE350 4Matic needed front brakes, including rotors, at 28,000 miles (2.5 years). We live in Florida and do not drive in mountains and have a healthy mix of city and highway driving. I have owned Lincoln Aviators, Mercury Mountaineers, BMWX5’s and a Mercedes GLC 300. None required brake pads or rotors for 3+ years and almost 50,000 miles and none required rotors.

Good Suv MB 2020 GLE350 AMG

Bought 2020 GLE350 AMG before anyone had new body style in 2019. Good vehicle. Held its value. It’s a second vehicle still under 10k on it so we’ll see! If I don’t sell it before…..
