Nothing fancy, but dependable
I drove my Grand Marquis for about four years, and in that time had very few bad experiences. Over that time, I only dropped about $1,200 into maintenance, and fuel economy was not as bad as I expected for a V8. The handling was sluggish, but the engine definitely pulled its weight. The greatest feature was the comfort. Classic- Purchased a Used car

Very Very Reliable Car
My 96 Merc Grand Marquis is probably the most reliable car I have owned, while it is not infallable. I have discovered that a code reader and being able to change the EGR Valve, Throttle Position Sensor, Mass Airflow Sensor, Oxygen Sensors and Window Regulator gears as well as keep the oil changed is all that's needed.
