2012 MINI Cooper S Countryman consumer reviews

Really like the four door Countryman. The S gives it some spunk. I wanted a four door because i like to carry stuff around and the two door was just too small. It rides like a Sports Car so don't think you won't feel the road, but that is what makes it so much fun, and boy can it corner. Trying to figure out some of the options is a bit challenging but I have most of them down now. I LOVE it!

I really wanted a car that fit me and turned heads. It's the first car I've actually bought and I'm so ready to take it's reliable self to college with me. I love my car

This car is fun to drive for long distance as well as regular commute. AWD makes it a piece of cake on any kind of surface. Visiting national parks where roads can be twisty and weather which can change, is an absolute pleasure with this car!

This car was the first and last BMW product that I will ever own. Unreliable, parts fail right after warranty several class action lawsuits have been issued for the water pump, throttle sticking, turbo failing. And their service departments in the many states I have lived in MI, CO, FL all have horrible reputations. Way too pricey for the quality and service you get out of this car. :(

Handles and performs great. Very functional with great utility. My two complaints: interior is plastic and cheaply made (fixed in later models, but my seat started to rip after 4 years). Other complaint is they dont retain value and expensive for what you get.

Fun car with good gas mileage. Love the all wheel drive, handles great in the winter. Safety ratings were high. You feel every bump with the sporty suspension. Has lots of bells and whistles on the inside.

This MINI is super fun to drive, has ample space, and style. I am impressed by its speed on the highway and handling in the city. It was one of my top 3 choices from the Chicago Auto Show, I came home and had to buy one!

I started car shopping a few months ago with the intent to purchase a newer Jeep Wrangler, or a Ford F150. I always shop used as I really hate how the value drops through the floor as soon as you drive the car off the lot. So I happened by the local Mazda dealership just checking out their used car lot and saw The 2 Mini's sitting in the front. Now I had to laugh as I am 6ft 3in and right around 280, but I have owned 2 Triumph GT6's, so I thought what the heck. So I decided to check out the Cooper S Countryman All4. The salesman came out with the fob and a tag, and told me to go test her out. Let me say, I was completely surprised at all the room! So off I went, and I fell in love on that 1/2 hour test drive. The car is loaded with every option available and to me was beautiful. The performance was excellent even with the 6 speed auto trans. I found myself using the paddle shifters quite a bit just for a bit of added extra fun.So needless to say when I got back to the dealership, I purchased the car. Now its been 3 months into my ownership, and the love has just grown deeper. Driving her takes me back to my days in the Marine Corps, tooling around the NC coast in my GT6, but with much more comfort and refinement. I find myself making excuses just to drive her, and I get the added bonus of the looks I get as people gawk when this really big guy steps out of his really small car. I have taken her somewhat off road, as we have fire trails in our forests, and driven her in our last 2 snow storms, and she handles great. So if you're looking for a great little AWD car that can seat 4 and gets you really good gas milage, then check out a Countryman S, and you may be suprised as I was.

This is my 3rd Mini. I owned a Cooper S for 5 years then a JCW for 3 plus years and now the Countrymen. I will keep this straight to the point. DO NOT BUY this car. The clutch is the same clutch as in the Cooper S but the vehicle weighs about 800 pounds more and is All wheel drive. So no big surprise , major clutch issues. I had less than 500km on my vehicle, few hundred miles and the clutch stink, burning up. The car is now at the dealer getting the clutch replaced. Total Lemon of a Car. Much better value out there for Compact SUVs.

Recently purchased the Countryman S and love everything about the Mini.....everything. I could not ask for a better vehicle. It surpassed every expectation I every had for a car. Can't help but smile when ever I think about driving it.
