The very first time I pressed the gas I knew there was something about this car. It was to fast for a regular sedan and it reminded me for my 240SX I owned years ago. I did a little research and guess what ..... same crazy, fast engine!! 240SX had the 2.4, the 2006 Altima has the 2.5, wow!! This car is just plain fun to drive!!!

I bought a 2006 nisssan altima and so far i love it. No problems yet. Delivers a nice smooth ride. Looks great.

I went to test drive this car, and loved how smooth it drove. I was very pleased with the price and the condition of the car; however, I was trying to decide between this car and a 2006 Mazda for my daughter's 16th birthday, and I decided to go with the Mazda because it was a 6 cylinder instead of a 4. After getting the Mazda, I realized that I had made the wrong choice, because my insurance became higher, and the 4 cylinder on the Nissan was almost as fast as the 6 on the Mazda. I spoke with the gentleman who owns the Nissan about his daughter who drove the car most of the time, and thought that it would be a very reliable first car for my daughter. Unfortunately, I picked a car that will cost more to maintain and cost more to fuel. I should have considered these things before I passed up a such a great car. I would recommend this 2006 Nissan Altima to anyone who values a comfortable, reliable, and affordable vehicle.

Very comfortable,luxurious and neat Altima 2006 ever.with rims and black color on it.It simply look like a sport car .4 cylinder swift car.

I DRIVE A TAURUS 99 AND NEVER HAVE PROBLEMS,THAT'S WY I BE AFRAID TO BUY THIS ONE,BUT I FEEL LIKE SO HAPPY MY ALTIMA IS VERY NICE CAR AND I HOPE LAST MANY YEARS...

My 2001 Altima was involved in a hit & run accident which resulted in a total loss. It had been the most reliable and overall best vehicle I have owned in over 40 years of driving. Naturally, I replaced it with a newer model Altima. I purchased a 2006 Altima with 85,000 miles on the 25th of April 2012. It's an SL model which features a moon roof, Bose 6 disc CD and leather seats. It is also loaded with many other comfort & safety features which led me to this purchase. It has 4 wheel disc brakes, and the 2.5 litre engine is the perfect balance of performance and economy. It is the Pearl Satin paint, which is quite nice looking. I am looking forward to enjoying many years and miles in this Altima, and I would recommend this model to anyone who is in the market for a great, reliable, comfortable mid-sized sedan.

Bought this car to replace an 06 2.5S that I adored. I thought the 3.5 would exceed my expecations with the exception of gas mileage. Boy was I ever wrong! This one was very sporty and looked great, however the problems are too much to handle. First off, gas mileage, I know its a V6 but 22 hwy is awful with 13 around town without jack-rabbit starts? That is pathetic. The doors lock themselve while the car is running! I walked away from the car for a minute with it running the came back to get in and it locked all 4 doors at the same time!!! Also the car has terrible road noise and weird rattles. The engine squeaks terribly too. It also tends to start smelling very hot as if about to catch on fire. Also the car will take off and just start accelerating on its own which I find VERY alarming. It did it on the interstate, it went from 70 up to 80 mph all on its own on a flat stretch of road. Owned less than a year and already looking to trade it in ASAP. I loved my first altima but absolutely cannot wait to get rid of this one! Looks great but is an absolute NIGHTMARE!! BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Absolutely love my Altima!! Owned a 2.5 S special edition bought new in 06. Owned until 2010 when it was hit and totaled on the interstate by a wreckless Semi driver. Car held up VERY well! Loved that one so much I went out and bought another 06 almost just like it! Only differences are the bigger engine, Spoiler, Sunroof and exterior color. A little upset with the MPG but once your used to getting 33-35 MPG down to 23 I guess its a little shocking. Cant complain though. 2.5 had over 75,000 miles on it and the current one only had 56,000 when I bought it. Certainly a HUGE Nissan fan now! Dont think I could ever go back!!

A month ago I purchased a Nissan Altima 3.5 se. base model, no frills(ie. no bose radio, leather, sunroof.) With that said, the car is still a great buy for the price. I picked one up with 26K for $14,200. I'm upgrading from a 2001 Nissan Altima 2.5. The upgrade in the engine is not even on the same level as the 3.5. The best thing I've noticed is how well the car sticks to the ground. Having the extra 1200lbs doesn't hurt. 06' Altima weighs roughly 4200lbs. I love the fact that I'm driving a tank now. My 01' Altima was on iceskates in the snow. I can't wait to tank up the steep hill from work now.. The cluster for your speedo, rpm, and gas meters looks really nice. They all have a red glow on the needles back lit with reddish orange. Some corny plastic chrome trim around the clusters. Mine is used, and for some reason the chrome is all scratched up, oh well.. Oh yeah, the engine for the 3.5 is nasty. Since I've bought my baby I'm really trying to take care of her. Not stepping on the throttle too much. Passing cars is something of ease now. On the highway the car just seems to want more if your traveling around legal limits. 80-100 mph is is no problem. The ride is really constant and steady with power. I didn't really want to push it past that, but I'm sure the car could of driven way past that. The road i was speeding on is kinda wavy and the car stuck right with the road. The ride was a little bouncey but nothing outta the realm of a mid-size sedan. The MPG I'm getting now is 23.2mpg and thats with being very light on the throttle(350 mi. on 15 gal. of gas.) You will regret buying this car if you speed and don't like to buy gas. One last thing, "mid-size sedan" = large car. Parking my little go cart of an altima from before to going to this beast is a little annoying in parking lots. A lot of pulling in and backing up, that or turn wide if there's room. I guess you can say that's my only gripe and it's a pretty sad one. I hope this write up helps. IMO it's a great car for a great price.

Great car, no problems. Bought it new and now have 147,000 miles on it. Absolutely no problems with this car. I drive 100 miles per day, 5 days a week and enjoy driving my car. I love the way it handles, hugs the road. A great looking and reliable car. Fun to drive.
