My biggest regret

Never get one again -- last two were great ,not this one , squeaks, bangs, thunks like driving a coffee can full of marbles. Gas mileage worse than my last 2001 with 230000 miles and turning radius horrible .

Low Tech

The Nissan Frontier is a good basic truck, fairly low initial cost, but has very few frills. It has a good ride for a four wheel pickup but has a poor turning radius whether in 4 wd or not.

Tried and True

While it?s true that the Frontier design is woefully long-in-the-tooth, it is affordable, sturdy, reliable, sufficiently comfortable, and more than gets the job done. If you?re looking for fancy and well-appointed, this is not the truck for you, even in its highest trim level iteration. My SV model has a back-up camera, heated seats, all the power options necessary, decent audio, and a peppy 4.0L six cylinder engine. It has everything I need, along with a few things I don?t really need but appreciate. A couple of notable cons would be the expanse of cheap plastic inside and the abismal turning radius. There are more than a few reasons, however, that this is my third Frontier.

Very impressed

I test drove this truck after driving a Toyota Tacoma and was very impressed so I bough it. The ride is good even on the gravel road we have to drive to get home. Gas economy is also good also

Like my Nissan Frontier SV so far

It is a good vehicle with just a few shortcomings. The center console armrest is either too short, or I am, as with the seat in the position I can reach the peddles my elbow misses the front of the armrest by a couple of inches. The step bars are also unnecessary and just get in my way even as short as I appear to be concerning the armrest. They do look nice though so I'll leave them on and try to get used to them. Other than those two issues I have no complaints. The interior is nice and roomy, the gauges are easy to read both day and night and the truck rides as well as any truck I've ever driven. It's an extended cab with 4 doors but I wouldn't recommend trying to put an adult in the back on those jumper seats. I use the area for tools and such and it suits me great as a protected storage area. I like that the jumper seats fold up out of the way as they stay in that position 99% of the time in my truck. The truck is good looking on the outside as well. I haven't installed a towing hitch yet nor hauled anything in the bed so can't comment on how it tows or rides under a load. With the 4 L engine I wouldn't try to haul anything very heavy but it should be a decent truck to drive back and forth to work. If I didn't live out in the country and need a little ground clearance on the gravel roads I would probably have settled for a car that got better gas mileage. I chose the Nissan mostly for its better gas mileage numbers but the wife has driven a Nissan Versa (which has just enough ground clearance for when it's dry) for the past 6 years and Nissan seems to make fairly reliable vehicles. I would recommend a Nissan Frontier to anyone needing a vehicle with a bit of ground clearance who isn't planning on doing a lot of towing. It isn't one of those over-sized monsters you see all the city dudes driving in town but it works well enough where the pavement ends and the gravel begins.

Great Vehicle

Just got it and really like the way it drives and the style. Very smooth on the highway. In great shape for a 2015 and very low miles.

Miss my little Nissan

I was brought up in a Chevy family but when I needed to purchase a compact pick up the Colorado was more then I was looking to spend. So I decided to look for the most economical compact truck that had everything I needed. I decided to purchase a 1 year old certified used Nissan Frontier. I drove the Nissan for about 2 years when a millennial decided to plow into the back of it doing 40 MPH. The Nissan held up surprisingly well considering the force of the impact but was a total loss. After the accident I decided to go back to a full size truck but I miss my little Nissan. It was a great truck! My only complaint with the truck was the quality of the interior plastic panels. Plastic panels scratched easily.
