I bought my 2005 a couple years ago and was a little upset when I found all the transmission problem reviews online. This has been the most reliable fun to drive SUV I've ever owned. It has a lot of power room and an incredibly smooth ride. I'm very impressed and happy with my pathfinder which now has over 130k miles with no problems at all even in freezing temps with tons of snow u can't phase the pathfinder!

Bought used 2005 with 85K miles for twin boys ride. Toyota and Nissan SUV's have been hard to find with under 100K miles. With new rails looks more manly. One son wanted a sedan and the other a pickup. This was a good comprimise. They love the Bose sound system so I won't have to invest in new audio for them.

The 2005 Pathfinder has performed even better than my Honda Pilot (which I didn't think I could beat). It's been reliable, provided all the comforts I was looking for, and an all around great SUV. I recommend Nissan now as much as I always recommended Honda.

Second that, great vehicle, bought used with 15,000 miles, runs great, not another suv on market can catch it on the hwy. the besr off road, with off road package. the transmission issue is a big hype, but mad off owners with an ax to grind

to all those Pathfinder haters out there, you are only hearing from to 1% who had problems. This is agreat vehicle. I purchased new in 2005, maintained my vehicle, and it delivers great performance and use. Sure it had a couple recalls, ie, fuel sending sensor ect. but this is a great ride. Lots of power, good gas milage for a 270 hp motor, and can tow anything.

Problems with fuel level sensor and transmission. Transmission problems caused by radiator leaking into transmission. Both reoccuring problems with 2005 pathfinders. Google to find out just how bad. Bought used and began to have problems around 85,000 miles. Nissan not taking any responsibilty. Own 2 altima's and no problems.

I have the 05' 4x2, and reliability is good thus far. to date, the gauge says 15mpg city and 18mpg on highway. A few mechanical issues but have towed boats, trailers used, and have fit 4 adults & 4 kids easy. Love the 3rd row seat. My driver bucket seat is best but you lose comfort as you approach the 3rd row. Suspension still function but the car rides rough even with touring tires. Nonetheless i love my car and am considering a newer model just for the mere fact of prevention.....and that all great things must come to an end.

Purchased my Pathfinder SE used with 38,000 miles and 4 years later runs as good as day I bought it. Other than the usual maintenance and replacing the catalytic converters at 63,000 miles (which was covered by the warranty) the vehicle has been very reliable and with 82,000 miles is still going strong
