Excellent Value

I needed a new AWD vehicle for the area of the country I live in, and have a couple of kids. Also, a very limited budget. I made a chart of comparable vehicles (CR-V, HR-v, RAV4, Subaru Forester, Hyundai Tuscan etc), and the Rogue hit best when taking fuel economy and pricing into consideration.. also I have a relative that is over 400,000 km in their current Nissan vehicle and it has been so reliable for so long that I feel comfortable choosing similar. I settled on the idea of buying used... until I saw what the 2017 offers and how much my . I couldn't refuse! I love this car, I got the base model and it still has so many extras I didn't dream I could afford in an AWD car in my price range. Heated front seats, heated mirrors, LED daytime running lights, bluetooth, power locks/windows, A/C, the screen by my speedometer shows my individual tire pressures, chassis, 4x4 allocation etc.... there are adjustable shelves in the back that are super handy and can conceal valuables, plenty of leg room for my kids plus reclining seats for them so I can use the recline function on their car seats. I can switch out and manually change gears if I want while mountain driving. I was expecting a very modest car, I feel slightly spoiled. Not a shred of regret for buying. I purchased my Rogue half a year ago and I've driven over 20,000 km so far. I love saving on gas so I always drive in the Eco-mode (never sport, okay, once on the way to the hospital with an injured child) and the acceleration is great, more than what I would have expected, so I'm not sure why I've read in other reviews that it's sluggish because that's not my experience at all. Things I'd change? A mute button on the steering wheel would top it off nicely. Also, making seats to fit smaller women like me instead of just 6 foot tall men (I do not like any bucket seat of any vehicle I've ever owned though). Oh, one tidbit for those who plan to have an adult/large child sit in the middle seat in the rear for prolonged periods, I recommend to test drive and try out before buying. Besides those things, this car is much, much more than I expected! Cars I've driven in the recent past are a 2015 AWD Honda Pilot, 2007 4x4 Honda Ridgeline, 2007 4x4 Jeep Patriot so you know where i'm coming from. I've now had two family members purchase a Nissan vehicle each in the past couple of months. I'm sure that says something.

Very nice

I bought the midnight edition. Charcoal and black rims. Looks very nice and all black inside. Feels a little more elegant than a regular one. It also saves me on gas.

2017 Rogue Sport

Very smooth ride. Highway noise is very low. Fit and finish are very well done. The Rogue models have a lot of options to choose from.

New to the Rogue

Moved from the Pathfinder to the Rogue, it handles well and has the lane safety feature which is great for city driving.

Best vehicle I've driven to date

This is my first crossover and I was very surprised by how much I liked it over the car I used to drive. It handles great, has better gas mileage than I expected, and has a surprising amount of storage (one of the main reasons I switched to a crossover from a car). The only thing that got 4/5 stars is the comfort level. While still comfortable, the seats aren't quite as plush as my last car and I notice the difference every once in a while. Now that I'm used to it, it's fine however. The features of the Rogue are another reason I rated it so high. The safety features like lane-change and backup warnings as well as the backup camera (which I'm still getting used to having) and the emergency braking are all things that help me feel comfortable in a vehicle larger than my last one. I also love the bluetooth streaming and ipod compatibility. I have an android phone so I can stream audio from it but I also have an ipod touch that I also use. Handsfree calling and texting is also very useful. The intelligent key system is something I've grown very accustomed to already as well. My keys rarely leave my pocket now and the remote starting is going to be very useful this winter since it snows a lot where I live. Overall, I'm very pleased with the way the car drives, the features inside and out, and how much I enjoy the actual experience of driving it.
